It’s our pleasure to welcome you to the Hilton London Bankside on this very special evening. We’re so pleased you’ve joined us to celebrate Breast Cancer Now’s 27th Pink Ribbon Ball.
Every year in the UK, 55,000 women and 400 men find out they have breast cancer. That’s 1 person every 10 minutes. Which means over the course of this evening, 36 more people will be diagnosed.
Everyone here will know someone who’s had their life turned upside down by breast cancer. And like us, some of you will have lived with the disease yourself, or be living with it now.
Tonight, we’re coming together for many reasons. To celebrate those living with or beyond breast cancer. To remember our loved ones who’ve died from breast cancer. And to pledge to create a future where everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives.
