PSYCHOLOGY - CAFFEINE AND HEARTRATE

We all know that caffeine gets us all up and moving ready to embrace the day, but what are the physiological effects of caffeine? Year 12 Human Biology students investigated this question to find out. Half the students drank a placebo and the other half a measured amount of coffee. No milk or sugar was added, which made the investigation not exactly enjoyable for thosewhoenjoyasugarfix.

Interestingly, results showed there was a minimal increase in heartrateandvirtuallynochangeinbloodpressure.
