GET SET FOR NEW EXPERIENCES...

You are going to be very busy meeting new friends, learning new things and finding out what an exciting place high school is.

We have all sorts of sports, as well as electives such as Cooking, Woodwork, Art, Digital Technology, Media, Project Based Learning, Music, Dance and Drama. There will be opportunities for you to serve the community as well as step up your understanding of the world through other subject areas. There are so many things to look forward to with a calendar of events centred, not only around learning, but also Sport, Arts, Ministry, Leadership and building you to be the best person you can be.

To kick 2027 off you will have a jam-packed day full of great activities at the Year 7 Induction Day. The rest of the year will roll out with activities such as House Sporting Carnivals, the Year 7 House Sports, House Patron Days, Southern Coastal Associated Schools (SCAS) Sports, Year 7 Retreat, Seton Day, the College Art Exhibition and Peer Support Activities run by the Year 11 Leaders and many more activities.

Our advice to you is to enjoy the last year of primary school and celebrate your Year 6 Graduation but also look forward to high school, because it is going to be great!

HOUSES At the Year 6 Welcome Day in Term 4 this year you will arrive in your current school sport uniform, but go home in your House Shirt. It is the start of a very important transition into Seton and your first step into the College House System.

There are six Houses at Seton and you will be in one of them for the entire time you are at the College. Your House will be your rock! It is a lot of fun, you will play sport for your House, earn points for your House, become passionately supportive of your House, but perhaps most importantly it will also become your support network at school.

Just like families range in ages, so do our House Groups. Every morning you will meet with your Pastoral Care Group (PCG) which means you will have older students to look after you and to look up to, and in turn as you get older you will mentor the younger students in your PCG. Your Pastoral Care teacher will be with you for the duration of your time at Seton as well - so by the time you finish school they will know you very well.

This term, 127 student athletes and 12 student coaches have represented Seton across the Southern Coastal Associated Schools (SCAS) competition. We celebrated three Grand Final premierships in Year 7 Netball, Year 9 Netball and Year 10 Volleyball, while a total of eight Seton teams reached their respective Grand Finals.

SETON'S SEASON OF THE ARTS IS OPEN!

If the Arts are your thing, you'll find your place at Seton. And if you've never tried them before, give them a go - you might surprise yourself. After all, you don't know what you don't know!

Our Season of the Arts has launched and, as always, promises to be a fantastic showcase of student talent. Throughout the year, students can perform in Dance and Music concerts, take to the stage in Drama productions, or exhibit their work in the Annual Art Exhibition, featuring everything from woodwork and painting to sculpture, textiles and photography.

Our industry-standard theatre comes alive with changing sets and productions enjoyed by sold-out audiences. Whether students simply enjoy being creative or dream of a career in the Arts, everyone is encouraged to get involved, develop their skills and discover new passions.

The opportunities available at Seton help students build confidence, express themselves and strive for excellence. Many graduates have gone on to study at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), with direct entry from high school reflecting exceptional talent and dedication. Our Visual Arts students have also enjoyed outstanding success, with 14 works selected for the prestigious Year 12 Pulse Perspectives Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Western Australia over the past decade. This year's exhibition continues that tradition, with three Seton students showcasing their work. In 2022, two Seton students received the exhibition's highest honours, winning the Packing Room Prize and the People's Choice Award.
