SCHOOLS: LINK provides a costeffective way for graduate schools to audition and interview large numbers of prospective graduate students for programs in acting, directing, design, technology, arts administration and stage Platinum Sponsor: management. Schools gain access to registered students and a space to promote their programs for only $125. Registration is open now at www.setc.org/link14. APPLICANTS: LINK provides graduate students with “one-stop shopping” for programs in their areas of interest for just $40. Registration begins in August. USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology) approached SETC about joining forces to create this program. LINK replaces the Fall Graduate Auditions and DesignTechnical Interviews that SETC has held for the past eight years. “We have long thought that our event date right after Labor Day weekend was too early for most applicants and school representatives,” says SETC Executive Director Betsey Horth. “When USITT approached us about this partnership, we checked with our loyal schools. All supported the change, as did our board!“

USITT Executive Director David Grindle notes that SETC and USITT complement each other in mission and membership. “Rather than compete to serve the same people, we all agreed working together would best use resources and best serve our constituents,” he says. “SETC’s strengths paired with the strengths of USITT will make for a partnership in which everyone comes out ahead.”
