SERVANT STUDENTS THANK YOU, CHURCH!
On March 11, thirty of our students and leaders will head to Fort Myers, Florida, for a mission trip led by Praying Pelican. When that day finally comes, it will be a trip we have planned for and prayed over for many months. A trip is nothing, though, without a great deal of good preparation, and Skyler and I have learned that it is in these times we see the fruit of the Holy Spirit at work, encouraging this trip to come to be. This has been the case in the number of students who registered, the leadership who stepped forward to help us, and, of course, the fundraising.
“Sweets for South Florida” has been our main form of church focused fundraising for this mission trip, and God has shown off! We cannot thank Church of the Servant enough for the generosity and love that has been shown toward our students. As of now, through your gifts, we’ve raised over $10,000 to go towards attendance on this trip. As we’ve given out donuts on Sunday mornings and desserts on Wednesday evenings, we’ve come to see such a great willingness to give for the sake of mission and discipleship. This is a testimony of God’s hand in the preparation and our necessity to trust in what He has planned for our week in Fort Myers.
