A different way to intend the sound production in brass instruments is born from a careful, meticulous and some year-lasting research.

The studies in Conservatoire, togheter with extreme care and wish to create a better product has given birth to a new high quality range of brass mouthpieces.

Dario Frate, Frate Precision owner, working in the field of precision mechanics and using the most modern design and production techniques, thanks to a deep knowledge of the product, has given life to FRATE PRECISION Professional Brass Mouthpieces.

DESIGN INNOVATION Frate Precision mouthpieces offer an excellent sound quality. Moreover, they have a new design characterized by a classic line. Their strengths allow an easier emission and a remarkable fluidity of the sound.

Detailed product coding involves a marking system with letters and Roman numbers.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR MOUTHPIECES Frate Precision mouthpieces come from the collaboration of some of the major Italian artists who have contributed to the development of different models and all the combinations available for classical and jazz/commercial music.

2 DIFFERENT CUP DIAMETER SERIES Choose between the plus series (+), suitable for musicians who prefer wide cups having diameters of more than 17 mm, and the standard series, designed with cup diameters of less than 17 mm.

4 MODELS, UNLIMITED COMBINATIONS In order to meet any technical, executive and sound requirements, Frate Precision offers 4 different models of mouthpiece and various combinations of rim, cup, throat and backbore.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The Materials The use of high quality raw materials and working with CNC machines, gives the product an excellent sonorous mix.

The Design A new design, a classical line. The Stamping of the product is done, as the italian tradition asks, with Roman numbers.

Thanks to the most recent technologies based on CAD-CAM software planning during the productive process and to the product making with CNC machines, we guarantee any mouthpiece can be reproduced with centesimal tolerances.

4 models, unlimited combinations To satisfy requirements of any musician, Frate Precision has developed 4 different mouthpiece models.

MULTIGAP A new solution to reduce the gap between the receiver of the trumpet and the mouthpiece, by using different screw sleeves. Patented MULTIGAP Frate Precision allows the player to increase or decrease the gap. The MULTIGAP mouthpiece has an external screw on the shank. The trumpet player is given different screw sleeves, in order to adjust the correct measure of the gap. The base kit made up of 6 screw reduction sleeves allows to increase 2.4 mm or decrease 1.6 mm the standard gap. Other 4 additional screw sleeves are available on request. Through identification lines on the external diameter of the screw sleeve, the musician can recognize the size and compare it with other reductions.

MULTIGAP Frate Precision is available for trumpet standard shank and medium shank.
