HEALTHY SCHOOLS INITIATIVE (HSI)

Dear Healthy Schools Initiative (HSI) community,

We are excited to introduce you to the new Director of School Health at Sequoia Healthcare District - Ann Wasson Ann has more than 25 years of experience in program development, fostering partnerships, community engagement, and cultivating collaborative advocacy in Los Angeles and Monterey County She was the Public Affairs Officer for the LA County Medical Association, a Director of the Violence Intervention Program at LAC+ USC Medical Center, the Director of Fiscal Sponsorship Programs and Grants Administration for the Action Council of Monterey County, and the Founder/Director of “Blue Crew,” a servicelearning program to address climate change through youth voice and leadership

Ann has made civic engagement and service to her community a priority She has served on the Boards of Young & Healthy, National Charity League and Junior League of Pasadena, Carmel River Elementary School Site Council, and Action Council of Monterey County, and in leadership positions for such organizations as Women in Public Affairs, Inter-Agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect, California Service-Learning Leadership Institute, Monterey Bay Christ Child Society and Carmel Unified School District Social and Emotional Learning Team

In her role as SHD’s Director of School Health, Ann will identify health and safety needs, provide vision and leadership, and collaborate with school district wellness coordinators and community partners

Ann holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology / Industrial Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from California State University, Los Angeles, graduating Magna cum laude both times while swimming for the NCAA Division II Intercollegiate Swim Team She also holds a Service-Learning Certification from the California Department of Education

SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL)

The Belmont-Redwood Shores School District (BRSSD) has made a dedicated effort to strengthen our social-emotional learning (SEL) systems and practices this academic year. To achieve this, we partnered with TeachWell, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting educators in their professional development, resilience, and retention, to explore innovative ways to implement SEL in the classroom

Our partnership with TeachWell led to the establishment of the SEL Academy, which was attended by a small but enthusiastic group of educators Through this program, we delved deeper into the 5 Core Competencies outlined by CASEL, beginning with a thorough examination of how these competencies relate to our roles as educators and then exploring their practical applications in our classrooms As a result, the participants gained a more comprehensive understanding of the competencies and how to effectively integrate them into their interactions with students

The SEL Academy provided us with a clearer understanding of the current state of our district's SEL practices and how to improve them One of the key ways to achieve this is by implementing an SEL curriculum, which we plan to launch at the beginning of the 2023/2024 academic year To determine the most suitable curriculum for our district and students, teachers are currently piloting various options. The SEL Pilot Committee, with support from TeachWell, initiated this process by focusing on the fundamental components of SEL to make informed decisions regarding which curricula to include in our pilot. Our goal is to present our recommendation to the school board in June.

Overall, our collaboration with TeachWell has been a valuable resource in enhancing our SEL practices and equipping our educators with the knowledge and skills needed to support our students' social-emotional growth. We are excited to continue our partnership with TeachWell as we progress toward our goal of creating a more supportive and nurturing learning environment for all students

The Las Lomitas Elementary School District continues its efforts to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for students

SAFE FIREARM STORAGE

California legislators passed AB 452 which, starting in the academic year 2023-2024, will require schools to inform parents and guardians about the legal requirements for storing firearms at home

Prompted by the new legislation, LLESD is including firearm prevention as part of its comprehensive safety efforts Pati Ortiz, a parent in the district and advocate with Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety, presented information about risks of gun access among youth and the benefits of safe gun storage to members of the school board, the district’s wellness committee, and the district’s joint committee on priorities (JCOP).

LLESD shared best practices for safe firearm storage and tips for talking about gun safety with children with its community, and is promoting the Be SMART messaging to help keep families safe from gun violence:

S - Secure all guns in your homes and vehicles

M - Model responsible behavior around guns

A - Ask about the presence of guns in other homes

R - Recognize the role of guns in suicide

T - Tell your peers to Be SMART

On February 8, the LLESD governing board adopted a resolution to support district efforts that will raise awareness about this issue

LLESD continues to follow procedures outlined in the San Mateo County’s Big 5 Emergency Preparedness Plan and shares these resources with families

HEALTH EDUCATION

LLESD is in the process of reviewing its TK-8 health education program to ensure that all students receive classroom lessons that align with the California health education content standards, and to develop complementary health-promoting campus and after school opportunities.

Efforts are underway at the Las Lomitas Elementary School Pictured, students learn about dental hygiene during a health lesson in PE. Entertainingly, during a nutrition lesson when staff suggested students eat nutritious foods to fuel their bodies like gas fuels a car, students quickly commented that in addition to gas one could “plug your car in instead ” Staff will need to adjust examples for an audience of students who live in the Bay Area in 2023!

Staff at the La Entrada Middle School redesigned the comprehensive sexual health program All sexual health information was previously provided to students during the spring of their eighth grade year, but will now be woven across multiple grades Starting in AY 2023-2024, an outside agency will deliver puberty and hygiene information to students in grades 5 in the fall, students will learn about reproductive health in science class in grade 7, and students in grade 8 will focus on relational and communication skills La Entrada is adhering to the Menstrual Equity Act which now requires schools to provide menstrual products in campus bathrooms, and is sharing a state-developed Menstrual Equity Handbook with students and families to help them understand the impetus and requirements for this law

LLESD intends to prioritize a district-wide comprehensive health education audit across all grade levels beginning 2023-2024 Stay tuned!

SHE ENVIRONMENT

La Entrada Middle School students have formed an environmental club with the goals of raising awareness about a myriad of environmental issues and engaging fellow students in steps to make the middle school campus more sustainable The students partnered with the librarians to create a permanent display of vegetarian cookbooks and books about climate change, and have replaced all paper volunteer badges with reusable pins and hand-sewn sashes. During recesses in April students will be invited to participate in gardening activities using recycled materials and blending fruit/vegetable smoothies with power generated from a bicycle

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING

It is a high priority of LLESD that students are provided classroom- and campus-based opportunities to learn about and practice skills that help build their social emotional competencies

A district-wide staff committee is in the process of auditing what SEL resources are currently in use, identifying gaps in instruction and activities, researching best practices in the field, and proposing a district-wide approach to SEL to be implemented in 2023-2024

While the curriculum adoption process is in progress, other opportunities that build students’ social emotions are ongoing and successful. In December 2022, the elementary school leadership team, the Roarrios, visited the La Entrada middle school; as part of a school-wide SEL project middle school students decorated their classroom doors and the Roarriors were tasked with voting on their favorite winter-themed display Roarriors continue to promote the school-wide SEL Character Traits Program, including leading activities during Friday recess They also introduced themselves and presented their efforts at the February 2023 board meeting, which included sharing the new Peace Pad tools that will be painted on the recess yard to help guide students through the steps of conflict resolution

WELCOME TO MENLO PARK

Menlo Park has started off the 2023 Year with such exciting news and more to come

ACHIEVING YOUR BEST SELF – LEARNING ABOUT THE POWER OF EMOTIONS

The New Year has begun Some of us are excited about what 2023 will bring while others may be experiencing a range of mixed emotions As MPCSD is learning about the power of emotions through The RULER Approach (SEL program), we are learning that it is important for us to recognize and understand that we all experience a range of unpleasant and pleasant emotions from morning to night, each day of our lives We can allow them to come and go with the understanding that they bring us valuable information By accepting their existence, making space for them, and acknowledging their utility, we can support the full experience of emotions in ourselves, which allows us to better support our students and families

Recognizing, Understanding, and Labeling our emotions are the key to achieving our best selves One RULER practice for igniting or reigniting motivation is to reconnect with our idea of who we want to be (our best self)

We accomplish this by

Paying attention to what’s going on for us emotionally, Listening to others as they communicate about their emotions, Looking for emotional cues in ourselves and others, Asking others how they’re feeling, and Reminding ourselves and others of the benefits of emotions

At the beginning of March 2023, we had 35 administrators and teaching staff attend a two-day RULER conference to learn new skills that they could bring back to staff to further implement our SEL program in all our schools.

SUPERINTENDENT GRACIA

At the beginning of January 2023, Menlo Park welcomed in our new Superintendent, Kristen Gracia Kristen is “home grown ” She has been in Menlo Park for over 20 years as a teacher, vice principal, principal, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, and now Superintendent She lives in Menlo Park and her kids have all gone through the Menlo Park School We are so excited to see where she takes us in the coming years

CALIFORNIA DISTINGUISHED SCHOOL AWARDS

Congratulations to our entire community, especially our students and staff, for being recipients of the 2023 California Distinguished School Award! This year State Superintendent Thurmond recognized exemplary elementary schools based on one of two categories: closing the achievement gap and achieving exceptional student performance We are proud to celebrate all three of our elementary schools: Encinal, Laurel, and Oak Knoll who were selected for this honor due to their tireless and ongoing efforts to ensure all students engage, achieve, and thrive here in MPCSD

PAWZITIVITY

Our newest school employees will be arriving in April 2023 We started this search in March 2022 and with the support of the MPAEF we are making this dream come true for every school campus

As stated before, MPCSD has partnered with the nonprofit 4pawzstrong.com to bring these dogs to each of our schools. This program is based out of Michigan and has provided over 100 dogs to different Michigan Schools. This nonprofit has provided support to those high school and university communities in Michigan who were victims of recent school shootings

PAWZITIVITY CONT.

These dogs are not Service Dogs or Emotional Support dogs but have had extensive training over the last year working in schools and in different community settings Our dogs will live with a staff member from each school and will come to work every day and provide a little Pawzitivity with wag And if you are lucky, even a lick

We know from research that these Facility Dogs will be able to: Assist teachers working with students who feel angry, are being bullied, bully others, or have other behavior problems

Help students who feel anxious, sad, or upset at school. Help students read and understand stories better by having them read to the dogs. Help without saying any words. Help children feel better if they are having a bad day and to also feel safe.

These are partners we work with in the Menlo Park City School District Thank you to each of them for their ongoing support

HOLIDAY FOOD GRANT

Redwood City School District (RCSD) received an $8,000 Food Grant from Sequoia Healthcare District and Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital Because RCSD schools already hold regular food distribution events, the focus of this particular grant was to provide food to families at non-community schools that were in need between November 2022 and March 2023 RCSD supported approximately 56 families which included 82 students and 54 parents

In addition to the food that was purchased through the grant, we were able to access fresh produce through Second Harvest The PE+/Peninsula Community Center donated to our district hygiene kits to help disperse the food In addition, iMPACt: Mid-peninsula Pediatric Advocacy Coalition donated children’s books for our December distribution Families were very appreciative of the effort We would like to send a shout out to the McKinley Institute of Technology Family Center for being our central distribution site as well as the students at MIT for helping to put together food boxes for families

SONRISAS DENTAL SCREENING

Sonrisas Dental has conducted dental screenings for our Preschool, TK, and Kindergarten students at Adelante Selby, Henry Ford, Garfield, Orion Alternative, Hoover, Roosevelt, and Taft schools. They also plan to screen identified McKinney Vento, Newcomer, and Foster students that are referred at various grade levels. Sonrisas received funding support through the Sequoia Healthcare District and Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital to make this happen. Their goal is to screen approximately 700 students this school year in RCSD.

HEALTH & WELLNESS FOR RCSD STAFF

The Health and Wellness Department has put an emphasis on staff wellness for the 22/23 school year Many community agencies and staff have supported this effort by conducting free fitness, meditation, WRAP, Cooking and Vision Board classes for district employees Local businesses have offered promotional rates for RCSD employees and provided gift cards as an incentive to help keep staff healthy and well for our students We would like to thank our partners from Target, Sports Basement, University Art, Cañada College, F45, Wild the Barre, Myndtree, UC Cooperative Extension & Tammy Arrellano Keighran, Sodexo & Mohammed Khan, Ellie Kaviani and RCSD’s very own Sara Coyle and Ann Tepoorten Berljafa.

SUBVENCIÓN DE ALIMENTOS

El Distrito Escolar de Redwood City (RCSD) recibió una subvención de alimentos de $ 8,000 del Distrito de Salud Sequoia y el Hospital Sequoia de Dignity Health Debido a que las escuelas de RCSD ya realizan eventos regulares de distribución de alimentos, el enfoque de esta subvención en particular fue proporcionar alimentos a las familias en escuelas no comunitarias que lo necesitaban entre noviembre de 2022 y marzo de 2023 RCSD apoyó a aproximadamente 56 familias que incluían 82 estudiantes y 54 padres

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING WORK

In 2020, San Carlos School District began working with Inclusion Counts to partner on our equity work. They worked with us to interview our community members and stakeholders to ensure everyone’s voice was heard. We are now completing our three year journey with this organization, and since then we have accomplished a lot within our subcommittees. These subcommittees include: Achievement, Discipline, Policies and Systems; Culture, Climate, and Caregiver Education; Diverse Staff; and Curriculum, Content and Professional Learning Each subcommittee is made up of teachers, parents, leadership, staff, and even former students! Some recent accomplishments include a new social studies curriculum adoption, increased holidays being honored in the classroom, leadership going through an LGBTQ+ training, and so much more And, as we all know, this work is forever unfolding and never finished We look forward to keeping you posted on our next steps to increase accessibility and justice for all in the San Carlos School District community.

SUPPORTING MENTAL HEALTH AND TRAUMA IN THE CLASSROOM

Our Mental Health Lead, Kiersten Daniel-Baca, and myself, Wellness Director Ilana Yakubovich, have been to each school site to train all teachers, including paraeducators, on “Supporting Mental Health and Trauma in the Classroom ” We crafted this presentation to ensure that all of our educators have a baseline understanding of mental health diagnoses, how they present in the classroom, and tangible strategies folks can implement in their classrooms to ensure their teaching and spaces are trauma-informed and focused on restorative practices. This learning supports teachers in supporting their students, AND allows them to focus on supporting themselves, as well, because well-taken care of students lead to well taken care of educators

CAREGIVER EDUCATION: SPOTLIGHT ON KINDFUL BODY

February is National Eating Disorder Awareness Month, and research shows that 80% of girls have been on a diet before the age of 8 in the United States Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness, and eating disorders and diet culture are not frequently discussed in our schools Therefore, we have partnered with Kindful Body, an eating disorder therapy and nutrition program in San Carlos, to provide education to caregivers They presented a parent education session all about busting dieting myths, and provided psychoeducation on how caregivers can create a safe and supportive household free of diet culture and body shaming, and provided resources and ideas for preventing eating disorders and knowing what to do if your student exhibits signs Kindful Body is going to be doing assemblies for our middle school students next, all about eating disorder prevention We are so grateful to this program for their support in medically accurate guidance and support

CELEBRATING MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

POETRY EVENT

Youth and parents are invited to a FREE poetry event that provides an opportunity for artistic expression to support youth mental health and well-being

In conjunction with the AOD grant and this year’s hallmark event, Sequoia Union High School District and San Mateo County Behavioral Health & Recovery Service will be sponsoring a Poetry Event, coordinated by SUHSD Student Services/Health and Wellness and presented by Social Changery. The Poetry Event will be held at Woodside High School on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Youth ages 14 to 21 and their parents are invited to attend and participate The event objective will be to promote mental wellness and healthy coping through poetry and artistic expression The youth will have opportunities to develop and practice emotional awareness while encouraging feelings of autonomy, self-efficacy, and confidence They will learn to create, write, and perform their spoken word poetry, TikToks, and raps

This workshop will have a social-emotional well-being focus where poetry is taught as an outlet for expression and emotional regulation and provide opportunities for student voice.

In addition to the youth portion of the event, a parent workshop will take place during the youth TikTok session Parents will be exposed to the material being covered with youth participants and learn about the foundations of good mental health and its relationship to substance use and suicide prevention In addition, parents will discuss how to have effective conversations with young people about mental health and substance use and be provided with local resources for additional support

SUHSD Student Services will be coordinating a resource fair with community partners during lunchtime and after the event so that youth and parents can connect with local organizations and gather resources on mental health, substance use, education, and more Join us! The following are summaries of the workshops offered throughout the day:

Youth Workshop: This workshop will focus on how to tell an effective mental health story that reduces stigma and inspires hope. Training will include safe messaging guidelines, as well as guidance on making informed choices about what, when, and how to disclose For more information on how to tell an effective mental health story, see the Honest, Open, Proud workbook for High School students

Parent Presentation: This parent workshop will take place during the youth TikTok session Parents will be exposed to the material being covered with youth participants and learn about the foundations of good mental health and its relationship to substance use and suicide prevention Parents will discuss how to have more effective conversations with young people about mental health and substance use and be provided with local resources for additional support.

Youth Poetry 101 & Post-Pandemic Lessons: This workshop will focus on the foundational skills for developing poetry and cultivating it as a tool for self-expression The overarching goal of the session is to help youth find creative outlets for expressing their feelings and experiences, building healthy coping skills for better mental well-being Safe messaging practices covered in the Directing Change workshop should be reinforced and applied to this session

TikTok Creation Session: This workshop will help young people understand how to use video formats such as TikTok to express themselves Again the overarching goal of the session is to help youth find creative outlets for expressing their feelings and experiences, building healthy coping skills for better mental well-being. Safe messaging and informed consent guidelines will be applied to the medium of social media, emphasizing the lessons learned in the Directing Change workshop.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Stanford Teen Health Van

The Stanford Teen Health Van was able to vaccinate 27 students while at M-A on Thursday 2/23 They provided school-based vaccinations such as MMR, Polio, Hep B, and TDAP This event was focused on providing school-based vaccinations to our students, however, they provide additional healthcare services. The Stanford Teen Health Van was able to see a total of 22 students while at M-A on Thursday, March 16th. These appointments included vaccinations, physicals as well as a few mental health related visits. Their next rotation will be at Woodside on Thursday, May 11th.

Vision to Learn

Vision to Learn provided vision screenings at Redwood on Wednesday 3/1 A total of 175 students were screened with a total of 55 students needing glasses 41 of the 55 students did not previously wear glasses All of the students who did not pass the vision screening will be provided a second exam with an optometrist and will be provided a free pair of glasses

First Aid/CPR/AED Training

A total of 22 classified staff members at Woodside attended the blended First Aid/CPR/AED course on Tuesday, March 7th Staff members consisted of paraprofessionals and other classified personnel All staff that attended have completed the requirements and will be provided a certification from the American Red Cross An additional course will be offered at East Palo Alto Academy on Thursday, March 9th, with a total of 21 staff members enrolled

Vision and Hearing Screenings at SHS

Health staff have collaborated with the ELD department at Sequoia to pilot a vision and hearing screening program. On Thursday 3/9 and Friday 3/10, our district nurses and health aides will conduct a vision and hearing screening on all ELD students. This program was requested by Sequoia ELD staff. There were concerns that students, specifically newcomers, may need glasses and had not previously been provided these services. After the pilot, it is our hope to conduct these screenings at all our sites. Students who do not pass the vision screening will be provided with a voucher for a free eye exam and pair of glasses with a local optometrist.

Dental Clinic SHS/WHS

A mobile dental clinic, Big Smiles, was reserved for Sequoia High School on Monday 4/3, Tuesday 4/4, and Woodside High School on Thursday 5/25, and Friday 5/26 This program is free for our district as well as students The program will bill students' existing dental insurance providers and will take a handful of students without insurance Any students with Medi-Cal will be accepted They will be conducting all services regularly provided at a dental office This clinic will be set up at each school's gym from 8:30 am-3:40 pm

CELEBRANDO EL MES DE CONCIENTIZACIÓN SOBRE LA SALUD MENTAL

EVENTO DE POESÍA

Jóvenes y padres están invitados a un evento de poesía GRATUITO que brinda una oportunidad para la expresión artística para apoyar la salud mental y el bienestar de los jóvenes

Junto con la subvención AOD y el evento distintivo de este año, el Distrito de Escuelas Secundarias Sequoia Union y el Servicio de Salud y Recuperación del Comportamiento del Condado de San Mateo patrocinarán un Evento de Poesía, coordinado por SUHSD Student Services/Health and Wellness y presentado por Social Changery. El evento de poesía se llevará a cabo en Woodside High School el sábado 6 de mayo de 2023, de 10:00 a m a 2:45 p m Los jóvenes de 14 a 21 años y sus padres están invitados a asistir y participar El objetivo del evento será promover el bienestar mental y el afrontamiento saludable a través de la poesía y la expresión artística. Los jóvenes tendrán oportunidades de desarrollar y practicar la conciencia emocional mientras fomentan sentimientos de autonomía, autoeficacia y confianza Aprenderán a crear, escribir e interpretar su poesía de palabra hablada, TikToks y raps

Este taller tendrá un enfoque de bienestar socioemocional donde la poesía se enseña como una salida para la expresión y la regulación emocional y brinda oportunidades para la voz de los estudiantes.

Además de la parte juvenil del evento, se llevará a cabo un taller para padres durante la sesión juvenil de TikTok Los padres estarán expuestos al material que se cubre con los jóvenes participantes y aprenderán sobre los fundamentos de una buena salud mental y su relación con el uso de sustancias y la prevención del suicidio. Además, los padres discutirán cómo tener conversaciones efectivas con los jóvenes sobre la salud mental y el uso de sustancias y se les proporcionarán recursos locales para apoyo adicional

Servicios Estudiantiles de SUHSD coordinará una feria de recursos con socios comunitarios durante la hora del almuerzo y después del evento para que los jóvenes y los padres puedan conectarse con organizaciones locales y reunir recursos sobre salud mental, uso de sustancias, educación y más.

Presentación para padres: Este taller para padres se llevará a cabo durante la sesión de TikTok para jóvenes. PRÓXIMOS EVENTOS:

Van de salud para adolescentes de Stanford

La camioneta de salud para adolescentes de Stanford pudo vacunar a 27 estudiantes mientras estaba en M-A el jueves 2/23 Proporcionaron vacunas escolares como MMR, Polio, Hep B y TDAP Este evento se centró en proporcionar vacunas escolares a nuestros estudiantes, sin embargo, brindan servicios de atención médica adicionales. La camioneta de salud para adolescentes de Stanford pudo ver a un total de 22 estudiantes mientras estaba en M-A el jueves 16 de marzo. Estas citas incluyeron vacunas, exámenes físicos y algunas visitas relacionadas con la salud mental. Su próxima rotación será en Woodside el jueves 11 de mayo.

Visión para aprender

Visión para aprender proporcionó exámenes de la vista en Redwood el miércoles 3/1 Un total de 175 estudiantes fueron examinados con un total de 55 estudiantes que necesitaban gafas 41 de los 55 estudiantes no usaban anteojos anteriormente Todos los estudiantes que no pasaron el examen de la vista recibirán un segundo examen con un optometrista y se les proporcionará un par de anteojos gratis

Capacitación en primeros auxilios/RCP/DEA

Un total de 22 miembros clasificados del personal de Woodside asistieron al curso combinado de primeros auxilios / RCP / DEA el martes 7 de marzo Los miembros del personal consistían en paraprofesionales y otro personal clasificado Todo el personal que asistió ha completado los requisitos y se le proporcionará una certificación de la Cruz Roja Americana Se ofrecerá un curso adicional en East Palo Alto Academy el jueves 9 de marzo, con un total de 21 miembros del personal inscritos

Exámenes de la vista y la audición en SHS

El personal de salud ha colaborado con el departamento de ELD en Sequoia para poner a prueba un programa de detección de visión y audición. El jueves 3/9 y el viernes 3/10, nuestras enfermeras y auxiliares de salud del distrito realizarán un examen de la vista y la audición en todos los estudiantes de ELD. Este programa fue solicitado por el personal de Sequoia ELD. Existía la preocupación de que los estudiantes, específicamente los recién llegados, pudieran necesitar anteojos y no se les hubieran proporcionado estos servicios anteriormente. Después del piloto, esperamos llevar a cabo estas proyecciones en todos nuestros sitios. Los estudiantes que no pasen el examen de la vista recibirán un cupón para un examen ocular gratuito y un par de anteojos con un optometrista local

Clínica Dental SHS/WHS

Una clínica dental móvil, Big Smiles, fue reservada para Sequoia High School el lunes 4/3, martes 4/4, y Woodside High School el jueves 5/25 y viernes 5/26 Este programa es gratuito para nuestro distrito, así como para los estudiantes El programa facturará a los proveedores de seguros dentales existentes de los estudiantes y aceptará a un puñado de estudiantes sin seguro Cualquier estudiante con MediCal será aceptado Llevarán a cabo todos los servicios prestados regularmente en un consultorio dental Esta clínica se instalará en el gimnasio de cada escuela de 8:30 a m a 3:40 p m

Estimada comunidad de la Iniciativa de Escuelas Saludables (IES), Nos complace presentarle a la nueva Directora de Salud Escolar en el Distrito de Salud de Sequoia: Ann Wasson Ann tiene más de 25 años de experiencia en el desarrollo de programas, el fomento de asociaciones, la participación comunitaria y el cultivo de la defensa colaborativa en Los Ángeles y el condado de Monterey Fue Oficial de Asuntos Públicos de la Asociación Médica del Condado de Los Ángeles, Directora del Programa de Intervención de Violencia en LAC+ USC Medical Center, Directora de Programas de Patrocinio Fiscal y Administración de Subvenciones para el Consejo de Acción del Condado de Monterey, y Fundadora/Directora de "Blue Crew", un programa de aprendizaje de servicio para abordar el cambio climático a través de la voz y el liderazgo de los jóvenes
