2020 MESSAGE FOR CEO
Dear Seprod Family, As we enter a new year and new decade, I want to wish for you happiness, good health, professional and personal success. 2019 was indeed a very challenging year with many difficult decisions and so many of our people being affected by personal losses. We mourned the loss of Clement Burnett (retired GM CPL), Winston Harrison (former GM ISL), Luton Shelton (supervisor IBL), Anthony Coleman (IT), Marsha Grant (Merchandiser) and the loss of close family members. Each day is truly a gift and we need to resolve to make every one of them count. A lot of the major decisions made over the last year were done to put the Seprod Group on a strong path for growth going forward. I am excited about 2020 and fully expect that if we work as a team, this will be our best year ever. Your company, of which over 200 of you are shareholders, has been making strides and is now considered one of Jamaica’s premier organizations. I want Seprod to be a place of choice to attract talented and motivated persons, grow careers, create value for each employee in their personal space and develop leaders for the wider Jamaica.

Tivoli Christmas Treat - December 20, 2019
Three years and counting‌ About 25 Seprod employees eagerly spread Christmas cheer in our third consecutive year of support towards the Tivoli Gardens Senior Citizens Treat. They got first-hand experience as to the ongoing need that presents itself within the community and without hesitation assisted where necessary.

Special commendation is to be given to the Social Activities Committee who ensured that nonstop Christmas Cheer was seen, felt and experienced between December 5 - 20, 2019.

The spirit of Christmas was really seen and felt on the John Harrison Building (Corporate). Especially with these costumes! These costumes definitely captured the true meaning as well as the commercialization of Christmas. In the end, Mickellia Dunkley won for her "Frost-elle the Snow-woman" costume.

SEPROD FOUNDATION CREATING IMPACT Christmas Treat at Maxfield Children’s Home
The children of the Maxfield Park Children’s Home were feted to treats, gifts and entertainment at the Christmas Treat hosted by the Seprod Foundation on Sunday, December 8th, 2019.
Seprod Foundation Scholarship Awards 2019 Congratulations to the employees and their children who did extremely well in the recent PEP, CSEC and CAPE Exams.
38 children of employees across the Seprod Group received scholarships towards their tuition for their exemplary performance in the first sitting of the Primary Exit Profile exams in March 2019.

Jamia Williamson is the 2019 Byron Thompson Award Recipient! Jamia Trevonna Williamson is a self-proclaimed “Aries Baby”, born on April 22, 2006. From early on, Jamia showed promising signs of leadership. She served her peers as Class Monitor from grades 1 to 6, Head Girl and Co-Valedictorian. Apart from leadership involvement, she has received numerous awards in cheerleading, builder’s club, dance, speech and choir. This second-year Campion College student has earned the Byron Thompson award for an average of 92%. In the future, this brilliant all-rounder would like to become cardiothoracic surgeon. Jamia Williamson proudly receives her gift from Mr. Byron Thompson himself. Little Williamson did extremely well in first form exams and is deserving of this top award for 2018-2019.

S.H.E. 2019 YEAR IN REVIEW It was quite an eventful year in the Safety Health and Environment (S.H.E.) Department as it is our duty to keep you safe and informed while on the job. Here are some of the highlights throughout: 1. All locations have adequate numbers of certified First Aiders. 2. Seprod Head Office (SHO) participated in a National Earthquake Awareness Drill. 3. Organised 2nd annual Blood Donation drives across the group. 4. Successful External Re-Certification Audit of MIDL in OSHAS 18001 & ISO 14001. 5. INCIDENTS / ACCIDENTS SUMMARY: We continue to have unacceptable high levels of Loss Time Incidents (LTIs) and First Aid cases across the group. We will continue to work with the locations to be proactive in stemming these incidents and create a safer and more productive work environment for all.
MARKETING NEWS This quarter, Seprod’s Marketing Team was up and about executing key events and leaving their footprints in trade.

BETTY PORRIDGE COOK OFF On Friday, November 1, 2019, there was a laughing frenzy at the 3rd installation of the Annual Betty Porridge Cook in the Half Way Tree Transport Centre. This year, passersby and spectators’ bellies were filled with laughter and good porridge as local Jamaican comedians whipped up their best porridge recipe with "BETTY INNA DAT"!!! In the end, Alton “Fancy Cat” Hardware declared the winner of $150,000 of which half went to his childhood Primary School in Trench Town, Kingston. Kathy Grant and Dufton “Duffy” Shepard came second and third, respectively.

PAN GRAND FINALS 2019 Grizzly’s Plantation Cove, St. Ann was the venue of this year’s Pan Grand Finals. Big ups to all our Miracle Sauce competition Winners, especially Jodi Ann Huie who won on THE night.
MAKE JAMAICA BAKE AGAIN! Make Jamaica Bake Again was Gold Seal Flour’s Inaugural Baking Seminar. It was held on October 23 and 24, 2019. Over 30 bakers and baking professionals from baking institutions across the island participated in this event.
October is Porridge Month!!! Deals in trade and at the Di Shop commissary on the Miracle Cornmeal and the Betty SCM.
