With friends in New York at Harry Clpriani Harry Cipriani is located at the Sherry Netherland Hotel, on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Opened in 1985, this fashionable restaurant is almost an exact duplicate of the original Harry's Bar in Venice. Its clientele includes New Yorkers and visitors from all over the world and the menu offers classics from Harry's Bar and Italian favorites

Oscar Fredrik Wijkman

Oscar Fredrik Wijkman (1841-1909) was an entrepreneur and municipal politician in Västerås. He was generally called "the God Father".

In 1874, Wijkman founded Westerås Mekaniska Werkstad (WMW) as the first major industry in Västerås. In 1890, Wijkman had the country's first major electric power plant installed in his company. Wijkman was of crucial importance for the newly formed ASEA establishing itself in Västerås in 1892 (Chairman of the board of ASEA 1891-1909). In 1897, Oscar Fredrik Wijkman founded Nordiska Metall.

WMW was transformed into Westerås Lantbruksmaskiner (from 1908 Westeråsmaskiner) which was established in Morgongåva.

Ivar Kreuger a Swedish entrepreneur and industrialist, called as a "financial genius".In 1908, he co-founded the construction company Kreuger & Toll Byggnads AB. Known as the "Swedish Match King," Ivar Kreuger built a $600 million global match. Grateful for the wonderful time I had with Kreuger’s family in Cannes and Sweden.

Curt Nicolin The company leader and SAF chairman Curt Nicolin was one of Swedish industry's most important players during the latter half of the 20th century.

Year 2021, this giant in the business world would have turned 100 years old.

As an engineer at Svenska Turbinfabriks AB in Finspång, Curt René Nicolin led the development of Sweden's first jet engines. During his time as CEO of ASEA, the company achieved great success, becoming the third country in the world - after the United States and the Soviet Union - to develop and build complete nuclear power plants. Curt Nicolin means as source of inspiration for my business and creation, I have great respect for him and very much admiration.

Peter Wallenberg Sr. was a Swedish business leader who was chairman of Investor AB for ten years. Jacob Wallenberg, Swedish banker, currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Investor AB, a lead shareholder of Nordic-based global companies. He is Vice Chairman of ABB, Ericsson AB. The Guardian has once quoted him as the prince in Sweden's royal family of finance.

Marc Wallenberg, was a Swedish banker and business manager. As well member of the prominent Wallenberg family, Marc Wallenberg was CEO of Stockholms Enskilda Bank until 1971. Marcus Wallenberg, Vice chair of Investor AB, influential representative for the Swedish industrial tradition and Swedish business.

MAX GUMPEL, co-founder of Stockholm’s swimming club SK Neptun, Olympic swimmer and water polo player. A master builder, and owned a leading construction company in Sweden. He had an affair with movie star Greta Garbo and they stayed in contact for life.

Gumpel had a strong interest in boats and cars. He owned the motorboat Laila and the skerry cruiser La Liberté designed by Erik Salander.

The building received its official name, the J. Edgar Hoover F.B.I. Building, through Public Law, 92-520, which President Richard Nixon signed May 4, 1972, two days after Director Hoover’s death. President Gerald Ford dedicated the building on September 30, 1975.

The rapid growth of the film industry during the 1920s put pressure on his vaudeville empire and eventually led to its demise in 1929. In mid-April of that year, he reached a tentative agreement with Joseph Kennedy to sell his entire chain of 15 theaters and theatrical real estate to the Radio-Keith-Orpheum Corporation (RKO) for $14 million.

Difficulties rose, however, and he finally sold (July 25) only six theaters to RKO for $4.5–5 million and to transfer, on August 7, two theatres, including the flagship on 7th and Hill Road in Los Angeles, to Warner Brothers. Pantages kept to himself only the crown jewel of his empire, the Hollywood Pantages, which would open on June 4, 1930.

On Hollywood Boulevard, stands the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. It's a fitting location: The Pantages has become one of the greatest landmarks of Hollywood, signifying both the glorious past and adventuresome future of the world's entertainment capital.
