2023 COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP AND SUSTAINABILITY

Enhancing Local Habitat Protection and Conservation Efforts

Sempra Infrastructure is dedicated to minimizing the environmental footprint of our operations and projects in development. Our commitment to environmental stewardship is demonstrated by our collaboration with partners who actively support preserving and restoring marshes, wetland areas, and wildlife habitats in the coastal zone.

A $25,000 grant to Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries funded local projects that protect Louisiana wildlife and enhance conservation efforts. Additionally, this contribution helped provide a Marsh Master buggy designed specifically for working in wetlands and other harsh terrain to aid the execution of in-field activities to restore remote habitats at Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge.

EDUCATION (STEM)

Enhancing STEM Activities for Students

Energizing tomorrow’s leaders begins with engaging today’s students. Committed to championing people and cultivating a diverse, inclusive and high-performance workforce, we actively partner with local schools, technical colleges and universities to promote continuous learning and development, shaping a future of excellence.

In 2023, Sempra Infrastructure launched its Innovative Educators Initiative with DeQuincy Middle School in Calcasieu Parish, awarding $26,000 to twenty teachers. Grant awards helped enhance classroom activities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and benefited more than 300 students in sixth through eighth grade. These activities increased social studies test scores and contributed to the school’s “top ranked” status among the 14 middle schools in Calcasieu Parish. Sempra Infrastructure

ECONOMIC PROSPERITY AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Energizing Leadership in Southwest Louisiana

Sempra Infrastructure actively fosters economic prosperity by investing in programs that empower the growth of diverse businesses and nurture leadership development. By collaborating with local organizations, we strengthen local economies and contribute to the resiliency of the communities in which we operate.

We recognize that the future of Southwest Louisiana is tied directly to developing and growing leaders who understand and can respond to the needs of our local communities. That’s why we partnered with The Chamber SWLA to sponsor its Leadership SWLA program. We help fuel our region’s next generation of problem-solvers and innovators by fostering opportunities for young professionals to connect and learn from our local leaders.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AND COMMUNITY SAFETY

One “Can” Make a Difference

We are committed to the well-being of our workforce, customers and communities. We advocate for comprehensive health, safety, and security programs to safeguard our people, projects and operations. Partnerships with local organizations offering safety and emergency preparedness programs are integral to fostering safe and resilient communities.

As part of our “One Can Make A Difference” campaign, employees at our Holbrook Compressor Station in Sulphur gathered more than 500 pounds of non-perishable food items that were delivered to the Second Harvest Food Bank in Lake Charles. These items were then distributed to local food pantries in Cameron, Calcasieu and Beauregard parishes. Additionally, the company invested $5,000 to support hot meals and fresh food delivery programs throughout Southwest Louisiana communities, allowing the combined efforts to reach approximately 600 families during the 2023 holiday season.
