Seminole State Is Proud To Support

its students with over $50 million annually in financial aid and scholarships. Scholarship opportunities are available through many sources, including from the Foundation for Seminole State College. Through more than 200 donor-supported opportunities, the Foundation helps nearly 2,000 students each year. With an average award of $500 toward our affordable tuition, these scholarships truly make a difference.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE AND ACCEPTED: Seminole State College Scholarships

Seminole State College scholarships, such as the ones available through the Foundation for Seminole State, are awarded based on academic merit, special talent or other criteria established by the College.

College scholarships must be coordinated with other types of financial assistance and may reduce students’ eligibility for federal or state need-based aid.

Scholarships offered through Seminole State include:

• Admissions Scholarships

• Activities Scholarships

• Foundation Scholarships

• Program-specific Scholarships

• Wayne M. Densch Scholarship

Florida Bright Futures Scholarships

Florida Bright Futures Scholarships are awarded by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) for the Fall and Spring terms based on academic merit (Summer funds may also be available, as determined by FLDOE). Funds cover up to 45 credit hours per academic year.

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program has three award levels with different criteria for initial eligibility:

• Florida Academic Scholarship

• Florida Medallion Scholarship

• Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship

• Gold Seal CAPE Scholarship

Private Scholarships

Private scholarships are awarded based on criteria established by organizations and agencies other than Seminole State College. These awards must be coordinated with other types of financial assistance and may reduce students’ eligibility for federal or state needbased aid. Each organization or agency determines what charges their scholarship will cover.

Private scholarships include:

• National Scholarship Programs

• Florida Scholarships

• Scholarship Search Engines
