Enjoy free, easy-listening music every Sunday
Two months, two locations, eight Sundays and a whole lot of great music from local performers. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend our Sundays!
Every Sunday in February, starting on Sunday 2 February, mosey on down to the lawn outside the Lincoln Library and Service Centre, where you can bring a picnic and unwind under the warm sun as the tunes fill the air.
Then catch these talented musicians performing at the Rolleston Town Centre every Sunday in March. Grab some food from the nearby food outlets, find a comfy seat on the grass and relax and listen as the music takes you away.
Who let the dogs out?
Our Animal Control team have seen a recent increase in dogs wandering about in Selwyn without their owners. Over the last two weeks, they have had numerous dogs reported as wandering. Thankfully, most of these dogs have been reunited with their owners due to being registered and microchipped.
To prevent dogs from getting lost and escaping, you can do the following things:
• Ensure there is a sturdy fence around your property that is at least six foot tall.
• Ensure all gates leading out of your yard are secure and locked.
• Supervise your dog when they are in the yard or when you are out and about with them and they are off their leash, especially if they are a new dog or puppy.
If you have lost or found a dog please contact the Council as soon as possible by calling 0800 SELWYN (735 996) with a description of the dog and where it was last seen.
The Council keeps a register of dogs lost and found and most of the time we are able to reunite dogs and their owners.
