Payment and Sales Tax

Sales tax will not be collected based on current law. According to the State of Florida Department of Revenue, this is a one-time event held annually, sales are tax-exempt.

Credit cards used to place your bid on GiveSmart bid/donation will be processed to the card on file within seven working days of the online auction, closing Tuesday, March 28 at 10 p.m. ET, unless otherwise agreed upon. For items available for bidding at The Gala on Saturday, April 15, payments will be processed within one week after. Additional restrictions and requirements may apply to all packages. For experience and travel packages, Selfless Love Foundation encourages you to book as soon as possible.

Selfless Love Foundation, Inc. auction proceeds go to fulfill its mission. Therefore, refunds are not possible.

Auction Lot Pick Up and Shipping

Items will be hand-delivered to winners who are in the South Florida area. Shipping and handling may apply to all winners.

Federal Tax Information

For Federal Income Tax purposes, all payments for auction lots shall be made to Selfless Love Foundation, Inc. (EIN #47-4544148), which is classified as a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Bidders may be entitled to deduct a portion of their payment for auction lots as a charitable contribution. Each bidder should consult his or her documentation and tax advisors as required by law following the auction.

Conditions of Purchase

All sales are final. Items are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or sold as public sales.

Auction lots will only be auctioned once and will not be duplicated unless agreed upon by all donor parties. Auction winners must be 21+, unless otherwise specified.

Selfless Love Foundation, Inc. has attempted to catalog and describe all items correctly and all items are sold as is. Selfless Love Foundation, Inc. neither warrants nor represents, and in no case shall be responsible for the accuracy of the description, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the property donor’s stated value. Auction lots must be used within one year from the date of the auction, or on the date specified.

Please note all conditions, restrictions, and expiration dates on items and services. Travel and accommodations are subject to blackout dates and restrictions. Unless otherwise specified, all items and services must be used within one year from the date of the auction.

Gratuities, taxes, transfers, meals, and other expenses not specified are at the expense and responsibility of the winner.

Travel packages are for the number of specified participants only. Airfare is not included in any silent auction packages.
