There are more than 100,000 children in foster care in the United States waiting to be adopted. Nearly 20,000 youth age out of the system each year without a family to support them during their transition to adulthood.
Through strategic partnerships and your selfless support, we are achieving our vision to transform the child welfare system in three key areas: adoptions, independent living, and advocacy.
Selfless Love Foundation is committed to helping families begin their adoption journey, providing them with a roadmap to navigate the process, and supporting them along the way. Using our hybrid of technology and personal relationships we connect families with children who are the best fit for their homes.
Selfless Love Foundation impacts more than 1,000 youth who exit the foster care system in Florida each year, by offering seminars and programs that help them become self-sufficient adults.
Selfless Love Foundation works with child welfare professionals, lawmakers, and youth leaders from across the state to create systems-level changes. We have earned a reputation as a national thought leader in the areas of adoption and youth transitioning out of care and lead a national network of youth advocacy councils.
The journey doesn’t end when an adoption is finalized. At Jockey Being Family, we are focused on providing crucial post-adoption resources to families so they can stay together, forever.

More than 800 children in Florida’s foster care system are waiting to find their forever families. These children are generally between the ages of 8 and 17, may be part of a sibling group, and may have additional physical, emotional, or developmental needs. Selfless Love Foundation is committed to connecting these waiting children with their forever families.
Selfless Love Foundation offers a hybrid of technology and concierge-level service. Through partnerships with child welfare agencies across the state, we are connecting children with families that are the right fit.

Brown’s Harbor is a collaboration between Selfless Love Foundation and Children’s Harbor to provide supportive housing for youth ages 18-23. The campus in Pembroke Pines, Florida aims to help youth who have aged out of foster care make the transition to independence.
On-site staff members offer training, support, and guidance, but most importantly the young adults at Brown’s Harbor have a sense of community.
One Voice Impact (OVI) is our youth engagement initiative to provide current and former foster youth with opportunities to develop skills for leadership and life, advocate for themselves and changes to policy, and join a network of youth councils across the state of Florida.
In the past year, through OVI, Selfless Love Foundation engaged more than 500 youth and young adults and supported 15 youth councils across the state. Being part of a youth council provides a sense of belonging for youth and elevates their collective voice to tackle issues that impact their future.

The Selfless Love Dream Tank competition is the capstone of our independent living initiative. Each year, youth with lived experience from across the state apply for this once-in-alifetime chance to present their dreams in front of a panel of judges.
The finalists are selected and begin a journey that includes professional speaking classes, speech writing and presentation, business etiquette and development, and presenting in front of legislators and child welfare leaders at the Florida State Capitol at the Rally in Tally.
At the competition last night, each finalist was scored on the content, organization, and delivery of their speech along with their stage presence.
The 2023 Dream Tank winner will be announced tonight and receive a check for $5,000! Each finalist receives $1,000.

Credit cards used to place your bid on GiveSmart bid/donation will be processed to the card on file within seven working days of the online auction, closing Tuesday, March 28 at 10 p.m. ET, unless otherwise agreed upon. For items available for bidding at The Gala on Saturday, April 15, payments will be processed within one week after. Additional restrictions and requirements may apply to all packages. Items will be hand-delivered to winners who are in the South Florida area. Shipping and handling may apply to all winners.
