We know that the greatest way to CHANGE a life is through the gift of a family. Whether it is through helping find forever families through adoption, providing supportive housing for former foster youth, offering life and leadership skills to transitioning aged youth, or helping youth advocate to implement policy change, Selfless Love Foundation is family.

Proceeds raised at tonight’s event will benefit our mission of transforming the lives of current and former foster youth through awareness, strategic partnerships, and advocacy.

OUR MISSION Selfless Love Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of current and former foster youth through awareness, strategic partnerships, and advocacy.

Adoption Selfless Love Foundation focuses on improving foster care adoption in these three key areas: family support, adoption advocacy, and case worker efficiency.

Thanks to Selfless Love Foundation’s generous supporters, Adoption-Share’s Family-Match Program has been launched in Florida at no cost to families or child welfare agencies and has resulted in over 200 adoptions for children in foster care.

Independent Living Selfless Love Foundation collaborates with child welfare agencies to provide training, resources, and tools to impact the outcomes of over 1,000 youth who exit the foster care system in Florida each year. We advocate to ensure that transitioning youth have access to quality services and the support they need to thrive.

Advocacy Selfless Love Foundation advocates for current and former foster youth. We advocate for policy changes and practice improvement to streamline the foster care adoption process and improve self-sufficiency outcomes for transitioning youth.

We believe each of us has a role in enhancing the lives of children and youth in foster care. We work with child welfare agencies across the state, leadership, legislators, adoptive families, and former foster youth to create change for children in care today and for generations to come.

One Voice IMPAACT YOUTH VOICE TO FOSTER CHANGE In July 2019, Selfless Love Foundation joined forces with Florida Coalition for Children to support the One Voice IMPAACT (OVI) statewide youth initiative. OVI provides current and former foster youth opportunities to: develop skills for leadership, advocate for changes to policy, and join a network of youth leaders who are making a difference in child welfare today and for generations to come.

Providing former foster youth with opportunities to achieve their dreams The Dream Tank competition provides former foster youth across the state with the opportunity to present their dreams and aspirations to a panel of business leader judges. The five youth finalists who have all completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training, were selected to participate in a nine-month program to help them prepare for the Dream Tank Competition and success in life.

Youth presentations at the competition last night were judged on content, organization, delivery, and stage presence.

What’s Next?

Each finalist has received $1,000 and the winner, announced tonight, will receive $5,000. All finalists will also serve as a mentor to next year’s Dream Tank Finalists for the 2022 competition.
