BIO My name is Selena Mangoni and I am from Toronto Ontario.

I have a unique creative and businesslike background that provides companies with a fresh and young perspective to reach a broad audience. I graduated from Toronto Film School with a diploma in Graphic Design and Interactive Studies in July 2021, and from Niagara University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management in 2020, while being a part of the NCAA soccer team.

I translate client business requirements, user needs, and technical requirements into designs that are visually enticing, easy to use, and emotionally engaging.

I establish the look and feel for various interfaces, including websites, mobile devices, apps, and wearables. I am a very driven, goal-oriented, and forwardthinking person who takes initiative and collaborates well with others. I am passionate about creating impactful and innovative solutions that add value to the service.

Alibi Branded Channel Platform: a B2B2C solution that seamlessly melds entertainment and shopping. It’s all about merging products and content to create one immersive and interactive experience.

When I joined the Alibi Tech team, they had been working on the project for over two years. We realized it was time for a rebrand and restructuring of the platform and website. ​ As a designer, I recognized the need for a well-defined brand with clear guidelines and a target audience. This led to an important step that had been overlooked: UX research. ​ The suggested improvements included: • • • • •

The accordion flow simplified complex processes by breaking them into manageable steps, making it easier for users to navigate and utilize the platform effectively.

Application Design

Timeline Video Editor Creating a timeline video editor for placing products on the shoppable banner was an essential feature because it empowered users to precisely control when and how products are showcased in their videos. This feature enhanced customization, engagement, and the platform’s value proposition for both content creators and shoppers.

Brand Management Customizing product card appearance in the Vendy platform is crucial as it empowers brands to maintain a consistent and visually appealing identity.

This feature enhances brand recognition, fosters a strong brand image, and increases user engagement, ultimately driving the platform’s success.

Video Player Layouts Offering multiple choices for the video player’s appearance is vital as it allows Shopify users to align the player’s design with their website’s aesthetics. This flexibility enhances the user experience, ensures brand consistency, and boosts the platform’s appeal to a wider range of e-commerce businesses.

Good Deeds is the first online platform that rewards kindness by inspiring a cycle of giving. You earn exclusive Deed Dollars in exchange for donations and volunteer services, which you can exchange for goods and services within the Good Deeds marketplace.

The Well Body group founders have integrated their respective practices Fenelon Falls RMT and Kawartha Osteopathy to create a collaborative healthcare centre for the community.

Customizing product card appearance in the Vendy platform is crucial as it empowers brands to maintain a consistent and visually appealing identity. This feature enhances brand recognition, fosters a strong brand image, and increases user engagement, ultimately driving the platform’s success.

Captured memories is a photo booth rental company. They wanted a website that was easy to navigate for customers to see packages and contact them to inquire about the rental.

They wanted a website that showcases all the different services they provide as well as information on all practitioners that each service has so customers can book which one they relate most to their qualifications.

This project represents a significant milestone in my career. It involved a comprehensive design effort across various media channels to maintain consistent branding.

My contributions spanned a wide spectrum, encompassing stage banners, merchandise, signage, the Day Camp poster, and flyers.

Additionally, I took charge of managing and designing Field Trip’s social media presence, including Instagram and Facebook ads, along with crafting captivating magazine page layouts.

A highlight of the project was creating an artist animation clip using After Effects, which was prominently featured on social media and within the Return of Field Trip Video.

During the day of the festival, I managed the photography crew as well as kept the social media up to date. .

This project was a Brand Identity Logo Design for a new app in the works called Half Day Stay. The purpose of the company is to only rent out places for half a day max, no overnight, for customers travelling places where they need somewhere to shower or relax before their flight or before their hotel room is ready. The brand colours gives off a bright and welcoming feeling encouraging consumers to feel calm and relaxed.

This project was a Brand Identity Logo Design Project. The problem faces was the area this bar will be located and how to get more consumers to attend.

It is located in Niagara Falls, NY, which is slowly becoming a up and running city. My client wanted something that will tie in college students as well as family’s and the middle/older class.

The logo is clean, simple and to the point. The colours used are the theme of the entire restaurant. They want you to feel like Gold.

This logo is a personal piece for my freelance business. I wanted a timeless chic,and modern feel to my company as a lot of the work I do it minimalistic with lots of white space.

This project was a logo design for a baseball training facility. They wanted something with a fresh and modern look that represents baseball. The backworks K is the symbol of a strike out which goes hand in hand with the Strike Zone nae. This piece showcases my journey of getting the logo selected and how it would look across different mediums.

Forno Caffee is a fresh bakery/ marketplace in Bobcaygeon, Ontario.

They wanted a logo that brought in the ties of Italy as well as the instant knowledge that it is a a bakery from looking at the logo.

There are multple variations on how the logo can be showcased.

Packaging Graphic Design

This is a real life packaging design that was created for a restaurant called Chefigata in Bobcaygeon, ON.

The wood texture is included in the branding as it is seen throughout the interior of the restaurant. The branding is clean and simple to help target the high end audience.

This packaging design is for a luxury home flooring comany called homeworks.

The logo, brand design, and packaging was done for this client whos products will be showcased in Walmart in 2024.

The client wanted a high end, modern feel to its packaging and brand and the neautral colours give off this feel.

Veri Wipes was a project for a RGD Mentorship with DAVIS. Graphic Design

The problem needed to be solved is how to launch a line of BOTH disinfecting and sanitizing wipes that instil IMMEDIATE consumer confidence and fits withing their lifestyle at home, at work, and On-th-Go.

Logo

The Big Idea used to solve this problem was to brand the wipes as a Hero. A hero that not only saves yourself by using both the sanitizing and disinfectsnt lines, but to as well save the environment as the wipes themselves are biodegratable. A dynamic due in two different instances!
