Free healthcare for all students On-demand doctor visits now available for each Seguin ISD student

(Seguin) – Seguin ISD families no longer have to worry over the stress that comes with having a sick child. That’s because the district has announced its new ondemand doctor visits for students right inside each of its campuses. Not only does it eliminate a family’s worry or inconvenience of having to make a doctor’s appointment, but the program allows students to be treated for free right there at their own school. Sean Hoffmann, the chief communications officer for the Seguin ISD, explains this new student health service being made available in partnership with Hazel Health. “The way it works is that students will have access to virtual doctor visits through
the school nurse’s office and through these virtual visits, doctors can evaluate a student’s symptoms and provide an appropriate type of treatment and recommend that to the nurse and then to the parents as well. If a child is sick at home, the child’s parent or guardian can access Hazel Health doctors again online from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on school days,” said Hoffmann. Today, is the first day that parents can opt into the program by signing the consent forms that are necessary to access this service.
