Community encourged to give, show support to two local families Memorial benefit being planned Family seeks help after unable to return home following house fire for local woman killed in car crash By Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) -- Help is being organized for a local family of six who is now forced to start over after losing their home to a fire earlier this week. A GoFundMe account and a drop off location for cash and gift cards have now been
established for the Kirkpatrick-Davila Family. The family, on Tuesday, lost their home to a fire that originally started next door at their neighbor’s home. The fire was reported Tuesday night in the 800 block of Cedar Street. See GOFUNDME, page 3
By Cindy Aguirre-Herrera (McQueeney) -- A mother of six small children will be remembered this weekend by friends and customers at a local tavern. A benefit fundraiser is being planned this Sunday for SeVannah Shay Mata, 28, who was killed during a head-
on collision early Sunday morning in northern Guadalupe County. Mata, who worked at Boot Scootin in McQueeney, is being supported by customers and management who have teamed together to help raise money for her family. See BENEFIT, page 2
