Man found dead outside local apartment complex Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers offering a reward for information By Cindy Aguirre-Herrera (Seguin) -- Seguin Police Detectives continue to investigate the death of a local man whose body was found over the weekend inside a vehicle. The say the victim has been identified as Sam Flores Wallace, Jr. Detectives say the 43-year-old was found in the parking lot of the apartment complex located in the 800 block of W. Kingsbury St. Officers were initially called out to the Stagecoach Apartments at around 3:40 p.m. Saturday for a suicide. However, detectives say they are now calling the incident “suspicious.” Seguin Police Chief Terry Nichols says while not many details about the case are being released, they do say that
“the injuries sustained were lacerations made by a sharp instrument.” Seguin Police officials say Justice of the Peace Sheryl Sachtleben pronounced the man dead and ordered an autopsy at the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office due to the suspicious nature of the death. The Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers is stepping in to assist detectives and is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information on Wallace’s death. Anyone with information on this investigation is encouraged to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 877403-8477. Callers will remain anonymous. Information can also be reported to the Seguin Police Department at 830-379-2123.
