Sir and Lady Nwogu got married on the of December, 1970, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Amumara Ezinihtte, Mbaise Imo State, Nigeria. They are blessed with 9 children four men and 5 women. But, they lost their second daughter Chioma Vivian Nwogu on March 7, 1997, a few months after passing out of her Youths Service she was the most brilliant and sociable child of the family. May her gentle soulcontinuetorestinperfectpeace,Amen.
In 1975 Pope John Paul II awarded daddy and mummy Nwogu a Papal Gold Medal as an exemplary Christian familyandforsponsoringandpromotingidealChristian marriages in Nigeria through personal examples, marriage instructions and as counsellors and publishers. No doubt their efforts have saved many marriagesinNigeriaandbeyondfordaddyandmummy have been steadfast in this apostolate wherever daddy

Sir & Lady Nwogu have 20 grandchildren. Of special interest is that they have sponsored 90 couples in marriage and 28 in Baptism. Daddy and Mummy Nwogu setarecordofmeetingwithalltheirsponsoredchildren together once in three years, where the wives report how happy or unhappy they have been and the husbands correspondingly explain and respond to any allegations levied against them one by one. This habit has created a very good relationship in every family. Neither the husbands nor their wives would like to be negativelyexposedinthelargerfamily.
