Support students to explore interests, ask questions, and build skills while having fun, playing learning games, and forming positive attitudes. Each week is centered on an affirming theme that students explore through reading, writing, SEL, STEAM, and family activities. All grades focus on the same theme each week, so families can learn and grow together.

Best Practices Set up Seesaw for summer. Your Seesaw Administrator will complete summer set up steps and share instructions specific to your school or district, such as Class Settings you might need to modify. Schedule lessons for the same time every week. Click Assign > Schedule > Choose the same date and time each week, e.g. Monday at 7:00am, so families know when to expect new lessons. Get students and families excited! Preview Lessons before school gets out, offer incentives, or pop into Seesaw over the summer to provide encouraging comments. Share this letter to families and this weekly tracker - also available in Spanish! Support Multilingual Learners. Assign Spanish Lessons for MLLs or emerging readers whose families speak Spanish at home. Ask families to confirm which language they prefer. Assign Lessons to specific students by clicking Assign > Edit Students, Folders, Skills. Get to know next year’s students: When you know your roster for next year, access students’ summer work to get to know them and their families before school begins.
