What are Seesaw Connect In-Person Meetups?

Seesaw Connect In-Person Meetups bring local educators together to connect, exchange ideas, and get inspired. As a Seesaw partner, your role is simple: provide the space, invite educators, and facilitate conversation. Seesaw will provide the resources, promotional support, and agenda suggestions. The best meetups are welcoming, interactive, and educator-led.

Event Window: August 18, 2026–September 30, 2026

Recommended Attendance: 20–40 educators

Your Role as Host

● Choose a date and location.

● Submit the Meetup Host Form by August 14.

● Promote the meetup to educators in your network.

● Send reminder emails to registered attendees.

● Facilitate the meetup using the suggested agenda.

● Send a thank-you email and share photos after the event.

Getting started is simple.

Follow the steps below to plan and host your meetup.

1 - Choose a date & location

Select a space where educators can comfortably sit, talk, and participate in small groups. You will want a screen to present from.

Suggested locations include:

● School library/meeting room

● Community meeting space

● Coffee shop event room

2 - Submit the Meetup Host Form by August 14

Before submitting, you'll need:

● Event date and location

● Shipping address for stickers

● Email address for the refreshment gift card

3 - Review Your Attendee Sign-Up Form

Seesaw will create and send your attendee registration form within 3 business days of receiving your Meetup Host Form.

Please review the form, double-check the details, and localize the language for your region if needed.

4 - Promote Your Meetup

Share your meetup with educators in your network. You may promote it through email, social media, educator communities, or local school/group channels.

If registrations are below target two weeks before your event, send an additional promotional reminder. Here are promo assets you can use.

5 - Send Attendee Reminders

Send reminder emails to registered attendees:

● 7 days before the event

● 3 days before the event

● 1 day before the event

Sample 2-Hour Meetup Agenda

Arrival & Mingling (10 minutes)

Open doors 10 minutes before the event starts. Attendees can:

● Complete their name tags, grab refreshments, and mingle

Seesaw Connect Kickoff (20 Minutes)

● Welcome from the host and agenda preview

● Lead a group community builder using one of the interactive Seesaw Lessons

● Invite attendees to register for Seesaw Connect

Seesaw Showcase (15 minutes)

● Choose 3–5 videos from the Seesaw Showcase page to share real examples of Seesaw in the classroom.

● After each video, invite attendees to turn and talk: How could you use this in your classroom?

Teacher Idea Exchange: “Steal This Idea” (30 Minutes)

● Divide attendees into grade-level or role-alike groups.

● Ask each participant to share one idea worth stealing, such as:

○ A favorite Seesaw activity, classroom routine, family engagement ideas

● Goal: Every educator leaves with several practical ideas they can use immediately.

Networking Break (20 Minutes)

● Give attendees time to refresh, connect, and continue conversations.

Walk & Talk (15 minutes)

● Display a discussion prompt on the screen.

Ask attendees to pair up with someone they have not met before and spend a few minutes discussing their responses. Change the prompt on the screen, they find a new person to talk with.

Wrap-Up (10 Minutes)

Before attendees leave:

● Take a group photo

● Have attendees answer three questions on the feedback form.

● Distribute stickers

● Encourage participants to explore additional Seesaw Connect sessions and stay connected with educators they met during the event

Meetup Host Tips and Checklist

Host Tips

● We recommend having at least two hosts or helpers: one to facilitate and one to support check-in, refreshments, and photos.

● Test your presentation, Wi-Fi, and audio before attendees arrive.

● Take photos of discussions, networking moments, and the full group.

● Keep the meetup conversational and educator-led. The goal is connection, idea-sharing, and inspiration.

Before the Meetup

☐ Choose your event date and location

☐ Complete the Meetup Host Form by August 14

☐ Review and localize your attendee sign-up form, if needed

☐ Promote your meetup to local educators

☐ Monitor registrations

☐ Order refreshments once your event reaches 20 registrations

☐ Prepare slides, signage, name tags, and the attendee sign-in sheet

☐ Send attendee reminder emails

Event Day

☐ Arrive early to set up the room, refreshments, and presentation materials

☐ Test Wi-Fi, projector, slides, and audio

☐ Welcome attendees and facilitate the meetup agenda

☐ Take photos throughout the event, including one group photo

☐ Track attendance using the sign-in sheet

☐ Distribute Seesaw stickers and swag

After the Meetup

☐ Send a thank-you email to attendees

☐ Encourage attendees to explore additional Seesaw Connect sessions

☐ Share photos on social media using #SeesawConnect2026

☐ Complete the host survey to share your feedback and photos
