We are celebrating a BIG milestone! Since 2017, Seed Effect has grown to serve over 100,000 South Sudanese and Ugandans who have celebrated tremendous growth and impact! Thank you for making this growth possible!

As we celebrate all that God has done, we also know our journey is far from over We’re working hard to saturate the communities we currently serve and expand f opportunities to reach other areas affected by conflict and di to 100,000 here > and our plans for saturation here > reached!
Q2 brought much to celebrate! As we hear story after story just like Suzan’s (page 4), we are also facing the reality that the demand for our program is ever-increasing We know our program is working and now we must continue to grow! Our goal, for 2024, is to empower 18,000 new members Because of your support, to date, we have served 12,958 new members and our staff in Uganda and South Sudan are continuing to work tirelessly to meet this demand.
Thank you so much for believing that the hard places are worth investing in and for partnering with us to bring the hope of Jesus and economic empowerment to these families.
South Sudan Update
After launching in Kajo Keji, South Sudan in March, our team has already started 29 savings groups serving 769 members. Bismarck, our Country Director for South Sudan shared, “I am filled with gratitude for each and every one of you who tirelessly support the mission of Seed Effect.

Investing in Relationships
In June, we had the opportunity to take a few members of our US Board of Directors to come and see the work firsthand. It was so encouraging to see the impact for our US, Uganda, and South Sudan staff to have the time to together to celebrate all that God is doing through Seed Effect and hear stories of lives and families restored We’d love to take you with us next time!

Meet Suzan
“Before I joined the [Seed Effect] group, our family was in darkness There were a lot of quarrels. But after joining Seed Effect, the light of God has shined upon my family. Things have changed I am seeing the love of God upon my family When we are together, we now stay in peace as a family which was not the case before
“Since joining Seed Effect and the encouragement we received to share the word and pray for one another, we have started praying together as a family It has become the culture in our family Every night we pray and when we miss, we feel it.
“Before I joined Seed Effect, I did not have any business here, but after joining, I was able to start one. Back in South Sudan, I received tailoring training I have the skill but when I came here, I lacked the money to buy a sewing machine After joining Seed Effect, I was able to take a loan from the group and buy a sewing machine I am using it to make clothes and can get more money for saving and for the family I have also been able to invest in my farm Every week I save 10,000 UGX By the end of this year, I will be able to take my children to a better school in Arua, not just the one here in the refugee settlement This is because of my group and the investments I’m making in my business and farm.
“I have seen a lot of changes since I joined Seed Effect. People in the community see that I am living a different life I no longer feed on beans only, but can feed my family fish and chicken
“My relationship with others has improved greatly because of what we have learned about the four key relationships I have learned that I cannot be alone in this world I need other people I have learned how to better relate to my friends in the group and even my neighbors at home I am very happy because I used to be alone without any happiness and with many quarrels with my husband. But now because of this group, I am comforted by the members, and I forget all of the problems.
“I am growing both physically and spiritually. I am praying that Seed Effect expands to other areas so that other people will realize the same impact I have seen in my life.”
