FOREWORD As we reflect on the year gone by, I’m reminded of the values that I hold dear and believe Sedulo does, too – loyalty, humility, resilience, and a commitment to excellence. These principles are more than just words; they’re the backbone of thriving teams, meaningful endeavors, and lasting legacies. Sedulo’s dedication to fostering growth, both in business and within your communities, mirrors what I believe is the heart of true leadership: creating opportunities for others to succeed. It’s about going beyond individual success to ensure the collective thrives—a principle I’ve witnessed on the pitch, in fundraising for the MND community, and in every team I’ve had the honor to serve. As you embark on a new year, my challenge to you is simple: set your standard high. Take pride in the small wins, stay committed through challenges, and never underestimate the power of unity. When individuals align with a shared purpose, extraordinary things happen. Here’s to the 12 months ahead—one of perseverance, teamwork, and continued impact. Keep going the extra mile, and together, there’s no limit to what you can achieve. With admiration and encouragement,

Kev

Kevin Sinfield

MESSAGE FROM THE CEO Hello Everybody

If I could use one word to describe 2024 it would be ‘progressive’. In complete honesty, it has been a tough year, as we battle with the pace of growth that we are having. It’s not easy for any business being in such a growth stage, and whilst it comes with opportunity, it also comes with its challenges as I am sure you are all aware. We have been obsessed with becoming a ‘best in class’ advisory firm since as far back as day one, but we really started to articulate this in 2021, when we talked about the concept of a Stage 5 organisation where excellence happens as default. We started the reorganisation of the firm in 2022, and we have made huge strides since then, with smaller clients gone, fees increasing and the revenue per employee increasing in line with a top class consultancy firm. This year we have managed to secure new clients with Global recognition, from International Billion pound corporations, global PE funds, to Premier League and Champions League sports clubs. I talked last year about us being 85-90% towards where we need to be. In truth I still see us here, because the growth journey comes at a cost of having to keep up. We are not the finished article. In fact I spoke to someone recently and I said I think we are on Chapter 3 or 4 of a 20 Chapter book – we are still so early on the journey and there is so much more for us to endure as a team. The end of the year is probably the once or twice a year I tend to reflect on what we have achieved, Xmas is great at giving us all that opportunity to reflect on our own lives: GOT RESULTS TOGETHER A key metric of where we are heading, as a consultancy firm, is the revenue per employee metric. Over the last few years, our revenue per employee, has gone from £65k in 2021, to £81k in 2022 and £85k in 2023it currently stands at £104k – hitting the original target we set out 4 years ago. Revenue for the Group, for the year end October 2024 is expected to be £20.6m – an increase of 36% on 2023 figures of £15.1m. We set a goal to double in size to 2023 to £30m and we are on track to do that. We will probably look late 2025 and 2026 to open another 1 or 2 offices in Scotland and the South West to complete the spine of the UK. It is our obsession to be renown over the next few years as the best advisory firm in the UK.

8

The landscape in the UK for consultancy / advisory is changing. The consolidation means we get a call every week asking when we will join the party. Our stance is we aim to remain independent and be the no.1 recognised advisory firm in the UK over the next few years. We want to own the space of ‘being the best’. The number of team members rose to 214 by the end of the year from 170 at the start. Elsewhere across the Group, Be The Standard, our internal leadership club, continued to set us apart. We had so many learnings this year, delivered from the worlds best including, Johnny Nelson, AP McCoy and Will Carling and we expended this to London with speakers such as Ella Mills and Barry Hearn. Our other investments, Perfect Getaways continued to grow and sold almost £25m worth of holidays in 2024, IGD SPORT and HMN24 all continued to grow. GIVING BACK TOGETHER It is as important now as it ever was, perhaps more so. Our dedication to doing the right thing, sets us apart from other organisations. If the 2023 Colour Ball was impressive – 2024 delivered even more, a sold out event raising over £200k on the night and £125k of funding to the foundation, and including double BRIT award winning Emile Sande, and some Sedulo favourites Phatts and Small and Andreas Martinez. As ever in the summer, we did our ‘Back to School’ campaign, providing 1,000 children with over £30,000 worth of homeschooling equipment and Nando’s/ Archies food vouchers for underprivileged children. Our Xmas toy appeal provided almost 15,000 presents. We have also provided nearly £15,000 of Xmas dinner vouchers for the family to enjoy, not just the morning, but the afternoon together. We continued to provide period product to girls and hygiene products to boys that need it. We started our ‘Workplace Safari’s’ to provide children with an opportunity to learn what we do, and to provide inspiration and aspiration to what they can also become. As ever, we contributed to a number of other charitable events with direct donations throughout the year. HAVING FUN TOGETHER This year we have put on almost 200 events as a team, and the aim next year is to continue with this but make each event experience better.

We have sponsored, and attended more events than ever before. We attended all sorts of external events with clients, not least our Tenerife Xmas Party, where almost 200 people made the trip. It was by far the most take up, which highlights the team camaraderie that we are building here.

2025, as we expect to launch in the city with a bang with our new office space Q1. It promises to be a real arrival in the city for us.

What to expect for 2025?

Recently we have launched the Staff Happiness score through our own, in house built technology. It will be interesting to see how we launch these new products – the future of us getting to where we demand to be, is with the combination of the best people with great technology.

More of the same growth. But hopefully slightly more tempered because of the foundations we have worked so hard together, to build, in the last 3 or 4 years.

I would like to thank you all for your hard work, your spirit to face all our challenges in an attempt to be the best, it is appreciated and it will be rewarded.

We are in a period of refinement where we need to just nurture what we already have, to make sure we have got it right, before we then look at a couple of new offices for 2026.

Finally can I wish you and your families all a Happy Xmas and New Year, and I hope you all have a healthy and prosperous 2025! The future looks very bright next year on the back of the build achieved during this one.

We will concentrate on our offering in Birmingham early

TRUST THE PROCESS.

With all the success of 2024 now behind us, 2025 is set to be an incredibly exciting year for Sedulo. We are expanding as a group, with big targets, introduction of managing partners, and an evolution within service lines – which means we will be offering a quality, value add service to more clients than ever. There’s loads to shout about, fantastic charitable initiatives, incredible events, and new offices mean that the Sedulo brand is constantly strengthening in the usual recognisable and meaningful way! I’d like to thank the team for all the hard work they continue to put in to make Sedulo all that it is, and I want to thank everybody in advance for their commitment in 2025 – we wouldn’t be where we are without you! I’d like to wish everybody and their families a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Billy I am looking forward to a strong start in 2025, continuing to build long lasting relationships with my team and clients. I will continue to foster the Sedulo culture within the office and ensure our values are lived and that our teams are engaged and passionate about what we are doing. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing a small part in this year’s Christmas Toy Appeal it has been amazing to see it unfold over the last few weeks, and I have been humbled by everybody’s involvement. I am excited for more fundraising events for our Foundation with some events already in place for the New Year (Sky diving in March!). I am eager to continue to get around our locations I have not managed to yet within the business and meet up and strengthen my contacts and relationships across the group. Wishing us all a successful 2025 with lots of opportunity, prosperity and growth.

Kate 158

A WORD FROM OUR REGIONAL MANAGING PARTNERS As we step into 2025, one of my top priorities is to continue nurturing and promoting the positive culture that makes Sedulo such a special place to work. In the Leeds office, I am committed to fostering an environment where open and transparent communication is the norm. To achieve this, I will be initiating regular feedback sessions to ensure everyone has a platform to share their ideas and concerns. I believe that feedback is a gift, and by listening and acting on it, we can build even stronger trust and a sense of ownership within our team. The Leeds office is a hidden gem, and I am genuinely excited about the potential we have. By focusing on innovation and continuous improvement, we can stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements, providing relevant, cutting-edge, world-class service. I will be encouraging the team to not only maintain our existing relationships but also to actively engage with the wider Leeds community to develop new client relationships. Together, we can make our presence known and grow our client base. I’m looking forward to working with each of you to make our Leeds office the best-serving office in Yorkshire. We will achieve this by working hard, playing harder, and staying true to the Sedulo Pillars, Values, and Charter. These guiding principles will drive both personal and professional growth, provide a clear path for the office’s expansion, and ultimately lead to success for all of us. Let’s embrace this journey together and make 2025 a year of remarkable achievements.
