Welcome

* Call to Worship

One: We are God’s church:

All: We come together to worship.

One: God has given us the Word:

All: We come together to learn and grow.

One: God has called us into one family:

All: We come together to share our lives.

One: God has put words on our lips:

All: We go out to tell the world about God’s good news.

One: God has given us the Spirit:

All: We come together to celebrate.

One: God has showered us with riches:

All: We go out to share this goodness with others.

One: We are God’s church:

All: Let us worship God together.

* Prayer of Adoration

Rev. Christopher A. Henry

Rev. David T. Kim

* Processional Hymn #138 Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty! NICAEA

Prayer of Confession

Gathering God, We confess that we fail to love as you love. We push aside those whom we believe are the least in your Kingdom. We fail to see your Kingdom in parables because we fail to see your Kingdom in each other. Form in us a new vision of community in which there is neither East nor West, North nor South. A community where all experience the transcendent hospitality encouraged by your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray for the sake of your Kingdom that both is and is not yet. Amen. (Silent Prayer)

Assurance of God’s Grace

* Response of Praise Alleluia, Alleluia! Give Thanks

* Passing the Peace of Christ

Transcendent Hospitality

“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by that doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”

(Hebrews 13:2)

Moment of Silent Meditation

We Give Thanks to God

Prayers of the People and The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
