HYMN NO. 493 SCRIPTURE

Dr. Dock Hollingsworth Rev. Heather Webb

COVENANT OF DEDICATION LEADER: Aaron and Amanda, your child is a gift from the Lord, and raising her is your God-given vocation. Will you—in dependence upon God’s grace and with the help of this community of faith— point Emily toward God’s love for her in Jesus? Will you pray for her? Will you show her by your own example what a Christ-follower looks like in the world? Will you immerse her in the community of Christ?

PARENTS: With God’s help, we will. LEADER: Brothers and sisters in this faith community: this family needs you! No one lives in a vacuum, and your own love, care and example are a vital part of this covenant. Will you—in dependence upon God’s grace—help to point Emily toward God’s love for her in Jesus? Will you pray for her? Will you show her by your own example what Christ-followers look like in the world? Will you be the body of Christ for this family?

PEOPLE: With God’s help we will. Relying on the Holy Spirit to help us, we will follow Jesus ourselves in such a way that Emily may see and understand what Christ’s love looks like in the world. PRAYER OF DEDICATION HYMN NO. 577 OFFERTORY PRAYER
