An Excerpt from Don't Take Your Eyes Off God An On Second Thought written by Dr. Joshua Scott, March 16, 2022 God is moving in the ordinary when we focus on the different challenges and busy schedules that comprise our individual lives. However, as we pause and quiet our minds, we can shift our focus away from the challenges and focus on Christ. We need moments and people who provide such shifts in our lives. One group of individuals who help me notice God in new ways is the Refuge Student Ministry at SPdL. Spending time with these fantastic students helps me pause from submerging myself with my life and challenges, and I am able to notice God moving and their faith evolving in new and beautiful ways. After moments with these students, I am encouraged to dance more, laugh more and view life with child-like faith. Today is Refuge Youth Sunday, where our students will lead in various capacities. May we pause, learn, and grow in such a way that we never take our eyes off God. May we have eyes to see the grace of God in new ways. WE LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We truly have something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies. Each Wednesday evening, we have Fellowship Supper, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. Now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing a Welcome Card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate.

Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.
ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP Childcare is provided for children of all ages during the worship service. Children under 3 can be dropped off and picked up in the Nursery located at the entrance to the Kids’ Club. Children 3+ can be dropped off and picked up in room C305 in the Kids’ Club. All Children 3+ are invited to attend Kids’ Worship. Children in the Sanctuary may leave with Ms. Allie or another volunteer during the Offertory. SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know how by filling out a Prayer Card located in the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate located in the Narthex or give it to a member of the Second-Ponce ministerial staff after worship. GIVING AN OFFERING Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.

Together we’ll use several objects to explore the story of Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem and take time to meditate on our response to Him. Volunteers are also needed to greet and host both days.
