PRAY FOR OUR TML MISSION TRIP July 6, we are sending a team to Touching Miami with Love in Miami, Florida to work with an incredible group of kids in their after-school program. As our team prepares, travels, shares, loves, labors and travels again, pray they can be a reflection of God's love. Also pray that the children they are serving see and feel God's love–not just next week—but every day.

JULY SCHEDULE NOTES We understand that the summer season is a busy one. So, we've modified our activities schedule for July. Please make note of these changes.

• Kid's Club & Refuge Students: No Wednesday PM activities this month.

• Rooted: Wednesday small group and planned outings are continuing as usual.

• Young Adults: Tuesday small group is continuing as usual.

• Music Ministry: Sanctuary Choir will rehearse as usual on Wednesday nights except for July 3.

Orchestra will not rehearse during July.

• SPdLU & Fellowship Supper: Both are paused for the entire month.

WELCOME BILL & MARY LYNN Second-Ponce is excited to welcome Bill and Mary Lynn Gabbard to our church! Bill began his music ministry with us July 1. His first worship service as Minister of Music is Sunday, July 8. Come meet Bill and Mary Lynn and welcome them to the family! We can't wait to see (and hear!) how Bill's leadership guides us to worship God in new ways!

A SECOND IN HISTORY

During the summer of 1905 former Georgia Governor William J. Northern hosted in his home some of the first meetings of the Ponce de Leon Ave Baptist Church. Gov. Northern's served Georgia from 1890-1894 and also served in the state legislature. He was president of both the GA Baptist and Southern Baptist Conventions. A trustee of Mercer University, Gov Northern was instrumental in the beginning of the Ponce de Leon Ave Baptist Church and helped build the church sanctuary building at the corner of Ponce de Leon and Piedmont Aves. Members of his family gave Second-Ponce personal his Bible and it is on display in our Heritage Room. Come experience how history comes alive at SPdL.
