CORDOVA HOUSE
TENANT IMPROVEMENT
The Córdova House, designed by famous architects Ricardo and Victor Legorreta, is situated in the upscale Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood in western Mexico City. The 712 square meter property is located near a bustling commercial area, making privacy a top priority in the house design. Therefore, all spaces within the house are oriented towards the interior of the property to minimize any potential conflicts with the surroundings.

While thinking of the tenant improvement for the Córdova House and the main goal of preserving the original layout to it; all social spaces were transformed into conference rooms or open offices and private rooms were converted to individual / "C" level offices. This approach helped us maintain the original workflow of the house while repurposing it for a new function. The result is a unique space that at any time can function as both a family residence and a business headquarter with just a tweak of the furniture.
The living room of the Córdova House was cleverly repurposed into a versatile social area for the o ce. The space was transformed to provide a comfortable and inviting space for employees to relax, socialize and collaborate. The original architectural design was preserved and enhanced with modern touches to create a cohesive atmosphere throughout the house. The furniture was carefully selected to complement the architecture and to provide maximum comfort for the employees. The result is a space where everyone can unwind, take a break, or just connect with their colleagues.

The design of each material was carefully considered to ensure that it complemented the interior spaces of the house.

Special care was taken while re-designing each room of the house, considering the interior spaces, orientations, light, and of course, the brand essence. The result is a play of openings and solids that provide proportion and volume to the house.

The project successfully meets the essential requirements of the new program while adding exceptional value to each space, both inside and outside, with a distinctive character that maintains a direct relationship with the whole ensemble and its ultimate user.
