Patchwork Plains // Stitching back together Melbourne’s remnant native grasslands to increase the attachment between the city and its site. By Sebastian Cocks Tutors // Adam Gardner & Emily Wong RMIT Master of Landscape Architecture // Final Design Research Project (2022) I acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which I work and pay my respects to Indigenous Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land. The problems this project tries to address are entirely the result of European occupation, and I recognise that the importance of this land goes well beyond the tangible values explored in this project.
