A highly anticipated tradition at the annual Seattle Polo Party is the Women’s Hat Parade and Contest, held during halftime of the main match. Not unlike horse racing, polo has a long tradition of summer hats, and most spectators agree that the most important element of any polo ensemble is a fantastic hat. The Seattle Polo Party tradition is Seattle's biggest Hat Parade, hosting upwards of 400 participants annually.
