A Decade of Igniting Hope, Inspiring Minds, and Changing Lives.
What an incredible decade. Our story began in 2013 when our first class of sixth grade students joined Nativity, filling our humble classrooms in a tiny parish building. We started small, both in size and resources, and our determination was boundless. Over the years, we grew, faced challenges, and celebrated victories that shaped the remarkable institution we are today. The search for space was real, but so was our commitment. With each passing year, we expanded, adding new classes, and in 2016, we proudly graduated our first group of eighth grade students. That was just the beginning. In 2017, we embarked on a strategic planning journey that paved the way for our future. This strategic plan, Igniting Hope, laid down clear goals for our academic program, student character development, and more. Fast forward to 2020, and thanks to the generous support of Archbishop Etienne and the Archdiocese of Seattle, we found a new home on the spacious St. Edward Parish campus. This move gave us the space to double our student body and expand our high quality education with a broader range of subjects, enhancing our educational excellence.

Incorporated as a non-profit, middle school in Seattle, WA.
2013
First class of 6th Grade students began the program.
2014
Students begin demonstraiting 2 years of academic growth in 1 school year.
2015
All grades enrolled. Students filled the 6th, 7th & 8th Grade classrooms.
2016
Inaugural Graduation, with 100% acceptance to private, college preparatory high schools.
2017
Fifth academic year: Board of Directors and school leadership initiate a formal strategic planning process.
Our mission continues after middle school graduation. With 118 graduates as of June 2023, we continue to support our alumni through our Graduate Support Program, ensuring they navigate the challenges of high school, higher education, and the professional world. Our commitment reflects the essence of the Nativity model — removing barriers, building partnerships, and empowering our youth to become young men and women for others. In 2020, our first graduating class advanced to universities including the University of Washington, Arizona State University, and Gonzaga University. Our graduates are a testament to the quality of our academic program, educational excellence, and character development goals. Looking back, I am deeply moved by the people who made it happen. Our dedicated students, passionate faculty, supportive parents, visionary boards, and very generous donors have all been the driving force behind our success. “If you think in terms of a year, plant a seed; if in terms of ten years, plant trees; if in terms of 100 years, teach the people.” C o n f u c i u s We have planted seeds of knowledge, character, and hope, nurturing them into sturdy trees that stand tall and proud today. As we celebrate our achievements, let’s renew our resolve to keep teaching, nurturing, and investing in the future. Together, we will continue to build not just scholars but compassionate, capable, and empowered men and women ready to make a difference in the world. The Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test indicates in two years of our high-quality education, the Nativity Class of 2024 grew to achieve grade level in Mathematics. Our fiscal year 2022-23, was our first year to welcome two cohorts per grade level. Our Finance and Development Committees successfully achieved balanced expense and revenue budgets.
