Shredding and Electronics Recycling Day is event dedicated to the safe disposal of unused electronic devices and the secure shredding ofoldpaperdocuments.Thisinitiativehelpsalleviatethepressureon landfillsandconservesnaturalresources.
Delta Upsilon Omega urged Sorors and the community to participate in recycling electronics and shredding documents duringtheSpringandFall.
We collaborated with Boeing Employee Credit Union for this effort.
Sorors were invited to bring their items from 9 AM to 11 AM on bothSaturdays.

In lieu of our usual Sister 2 Sister brunch, the Membership Committee focused on Mental Health Month as part of our EmpowerOurFamiliesInitiative,recognizingMayasMental HealthAwarenessMonth.
Soror Lyndsey Williams served as the keynote speaker, sharingherinsightsasalicensedtherapist. EachsororreceivedajournalfromSororNinaFoxx. Golden Soror Regina guided us on the significance of journaling.
SororSonyaledusincreatingfriendshipbracelets. WehostedaFashionShowandcrownedwinners. Everyone received a 'happy meal' box filled with mental health awareness items, including a stress ball, bubbles, acandle,asucculent,andaffirmationcards.

Functioninglikeawell-oiledassemblyline,weefficiently preparebetween100to200bagseachmonth. Oncethebagsarepacked,SororAdaensurestheirdeliveryto theschoolthefollowingMonday.
Duringthe2023-2024schoolyear,weaveraged100bags eachmonth,totalingover1,000bagsfortheentireyear. InOctober2024,weboostedourmonthlydrop-offto200 bags,ensuringthatEVERYstudentatRainierView ElementaryreceivesaCHIPP™bag.
