Seaside AFC: A brief history Sea side AFC we re forme d du rin g the la te 1950 's and ente red the Carmarth enshire League, the early years we re difficult and fou nd success har d to come by. By the mid 1970 's Sea side had estab lish ed themselves as a stron g Division on e team and de sp ite reach ing several fin als and semi fin als we re un able to win their first tro phy.

In 1982 Sea side fou nd success for the first time winn ing the Carmarth enshire Leag ue Challen ge Cup and pr omo tio n to the Pr emier Leag ue for the first time . Du rin g the 80's Sea side saw several pr omo tio ns and relega tio ns to the pr emier le agu e. This pa ttern con tinu ed thro ug h the 90's wh ich also seen Sea side crow ned Division on e champ io ns for the first time and win the challen ge cup on ano ther two occasions .

The fortu nes of the clu b chan ged in 2000 wh en a 23 year old Wayne Bow en wa s appo inte d player mana ger. The team we re pr omo ted to the Pr emier le agu e in 2001 , in the next season Sea side fin ished a cred itab le 3rd place and wo n the T & G pr emier cup for the first time .

The follo wing season wa s the be st in the history for the clu b starting with winn ing the Llanelli Star Cup for the first time , also reach ing the fin als of the T & G cup and Sen io r cup. Sea side then we nt on to win the Carmarth en Pr emier Leag ue for the first time and fin ished the season in style by winn ing the West Wales cup be atin g West En d 1-0 with a Lee Sto ne pe nalty in their first ap pear ance in the fin al. Tha t same season also seen the Seco nd team complete the le agu e and cup do uble. Since 2003 Sea side have estab lish ed themselves as on e of the top teams in the Carmarth enshire Leag ue and have wo n many mor e tro phies, in cludin g the Leag ue title on mor e than 3 occasions.

The 2007 /08 season also seen Sea side liftin g the West Wales Tro ph y in a thrillin g ga me. Trailing 4-1 at half time again st Ragg ed Scho ol, Sea side made a tremen do us come ba ck in the secon d half to even tually win the ga me 6-5 in wh at many pe op le have said is the be ga me of foo tball they have seen.

After 2007 - 2008 season seaside carried on do min atin g the Carmarth enshire Leag ue. Winning the Pr emier division ano ther 7 time s. 8 years in a ro w wh ich is a reco rd. In that time we we re West Wales fin alists wh en we lo st to Pe nla n after extra time at the libe rty stadium. We we re 3 - 1 up at half time bu t lo sin g Lee Sto ne and Luk e Jen kin s thro ugh in ju ry wa s a turn in g po in t. It wa s 5 - 3 in the end.

We also wo n the senior Cup 4 years on the tro tt from 2011 - 2012 to 2016 - 2017 .

We wo n the TG Davies 2009 and 2010 .

Du rin g this time ou r reserve s we re a formida ble team . Which sho wed the strength in de pth we had du rin g the pe rio d of do min atio n. The y wo n nu merou s do ub les .

We wo n the le agu e 4 years on the bo un ce from 2011 - 2012 to 2016 - 2017 .

We wo n the Dar ch Cup in 2011 and also the Mor ris Cup in 2012 /13, 2014 /15 and 2016 /17.

We also wo n the Jayne Stephen s Cup in 2011 /12.

We ad ded a star Cup be fo re it wa s scrapp ed in 2008 /09 wh ere we fielde d a u21 side.

The se we re fantastic years wh ere we had some br illiant mana gers. All committed and played the seasid e wa y.

Wayne Bow en, Dai Jo nes we re the successfu l on es. We also had Dar ren Evan s and Jamie Bow en for 2 years in season s 2017 /18 and 2019 /20.

Reserve team mana gers have be en br illiant as we ll with the likes of la n Richar ds, Jamie Richar ds, Gavin Evan s, Dar ren Evan s wh o wo n the do ub le 3 years in a ro w.

But sin ce 2018 we have be en in tran sitio n and we have n't wo n a tro phy for 4 years no w. We have move d ou r 1st team ho me ga mes off ‘th e Bal’ and on to Pe nrho s 3g. A lo t of qu estio ns we re asked, bu t the wa y we play, the 3g pitch suits us and we be lieve as a clu b we have turn ed the corn er in the la st 6 mon ths and we are con fide nt the tro phies will retu rn.

We have go t an ambitious committee and a fantastic min i and ju nior with some really go od you ngster s coming thro ugh.

We are all excited the the futur e un der the gu id ance of Lee Sto ne, Stu Lloyd, and Wayne Bow en.
