SEANC pushing for equitable raises as legislature returns

thecaseforraisesforuniversityandcommunitycollegeemployees,noncertifiedschool personnel andretirees--all ofwhichwereleftoutofthe mini-budget billsthatpassedbeforetheholidaybreak. Itisimperativethattheseemployeesbetreatedfairlyandreceive increasesthroughanoverrideofthevetoonthestatebudget Theretireebonusthatwasinthebudgetwasbarelyabonusatall Poor choicesbypreviousstatetreasurershavemadeatrueCOLA unavailable SEANC isgrateful toTreasurerDaleFolwell fortheworkheisdoingto digusoutofthemesscreatedbyhispredecessors.Wearepressing legislativeleaderstohonortheserviceandsacrificeofourretiredstate employees,andwebelievetheywill findenoughone-timemoneyto providearetireebonusofatleast2% Membersshouldclickbelow toreachouttotheirlegislatorstotell themto standupforpayequitybypassingtheseincreases.
