Why Selling Your Home Should Be a Team Effort

If there’s one piece of property advice worth remembering, it’s this: be wary of anyone who tells you that selling a home is so easy that you should do it yourself.

It takes a team with expertise and experience across various areas to make a successful sale happen. Not even the most creative multitasker has the skills to cover all the bases themselves. Here’s a list of who should be on your home-selling team.

Estate agent – A good agent knows Seaford’s property market inside and out. And armed with this info, they can get the asking price right – not too high that it doesn’t generate interest, and not too low that you lose out financially. A good agent will use their experience of viewings and negotiations to get you the best possible deal on your largest tax-free asset. Photographer – We use a local professional photographer for our property marketing photos. Most viewers start their property search online and expect to see high-quality images.

Conveyancer/Solicitor – Once the sale

is agreed, you’ll need a good solicitor or conveyancer to handle the paperwork. Again, we can recommend excellent local ones.

Removal firm – On the day you complete, you’ll want the logistics to run smoothly – and for your treasured possessions to be handled with care. Again, we can help with recommendations.

Proactive seller – Sellers are vital members of the team, too! A proactive seller rids their home of clutter so that it shines in the marketing photos, and keeps the property tidy for viewings.

At Newberry Tully, we believe that selling a home is a team sport. So feel free to contact us to find out more about our collaborative approach.

SEAHAvEN HARd oF HEARiNG CLUB

The May meeting of Seahaven Hard of Hearing Club was always an outing, and this was the first one since before Lockdown. Two minibuses took members to Fairwarp Village Hall where the local W.I. ladies provided us with an excellent tea. There was plenty of cake, sandwiches, tea and coffee, as well as a very welcoming and helpful ladies. I can heartily recommend this as a trip for other clubs.

Our next social meeting is on Friday 6th June when the Seaford Strummers will be entertaining us at our Queen’s Jubilee party, along with games, chat, food and a raffle. Anyone who would like to join us, please ring Pauline on 01323 895216.

The lipreading classes start their new term on 7th June at 10am, at Sutton Corner Barn (previously the 60+ club). Please contact Jayne on 01323 655957.
