AFEDO TM Nozzles - an alternative to spray arms

TWINSPRAY Product Description The AFEDO™ Nozzle has been designed as an alternative to dispersant spray arms to provide a more flexible and compact system for the application of dispersant from “Vessels of Opportunity” such as Tugs, Offshore Supply Vessels and Workboats. AFEDO™ Nozzles create an even drop-out spray pattern some 10 – 15m in length on either side of the vessel, and are designed for use with Ayles Fernie BOATSPRAY portable diesel pump units.

TWINSPRAY Description of Options 1 BOATSPRAY-TS is currently available with 3 Engines and corresponding Pump Capacities. These systems include the BS50-TS for small vessels operating inshore, the BS100-TS for larger vessels and the BS200-TS for large OSVs. 2 TWINSPRAY systems for operation in the USA are supplied with EPA compliant diesel engines.

3 The removable Wheel Kit for the BOATSPRAY range allows the pump unit to be moved about easily and once in position, the wheels can be removed for stability at sea if required.

12 The storage of dispersant and the supply of dispersant to the pump unit is often overlooked but is crucial for successful and un-interrupted dispersant application. Ayles Fernie can supply portable dispersant storage tanks, suction manifolds and hoses to meet customer requirements.

13 Ayles Fernie can supply SUPERDISPERSANT-25 which is a UK/CEDRE/ROPME Approved type 2/3 dispersant.

4 The diesel engines can be supplied with an exhaust Spark Arrester if required.

5 The larger diesel engines can be supplied with Electric Start and this option includes a Dry Cell Battery, Key Start, Wiring Harness and Battery charging system.

6 Protect the pump unit from weather and deterioration in the marine environment with this fitted PVC Cover.

7 The heavier BS100 and BS200 pump units can be supplied with a Lifting Sling which is supplied with a load test certificate.

8 When dispersing small patches of oil or cleaning soiled structures, Hand Lances provide the perfect solution for small scale, controlled dispersant application.

9 A comprehensive range of spares can be supplied for the pump unit, pump and AFEDO™ nozzles.

11 We recommend that system operators wear full protective clothing when using AFEDO nozzles. This option includes chemical resistant Hooded Coveralls, Goggles, Gloves and Respirator.

These containers provide secure storage for all system components and protection from deterioration, damage or loss during storage and transportation. These containers are very popular with oil companies and oil spill responders who need to move their systems quickly and reliably.
