In these difficult economic times, managing a couple of non-profit trade associations is a challenge. Keeping the balance sheet balanced is difficult when we rely solely on allied member support and regular member purchases. Having said that, when a new program comes up, it needs to be seized and promoted to the membership. As a member of the SDTA, your business will receive discounts and the SDTA will get a small spiff. In closing, I want to remind everyone that in less than a month, the general election will take place. Keep in mind that we will be electing or re-electing our entire state legislature. Please have a voting discussion with your entire staff and make sure they all have an opportunity to vote!
