LIFE OF BECKY HAMMON Rapid City native Becky Hammon, a prolific scorer High School, was considered too small to be a major college player. Proving everyone wrong she went on to play 16 years in the WNBA and became the first woman assistant coach in NBA history.
The Acts of Excellence program celebrates the many individuals, groups and organizations in South Dakota that make remarkable achievements every day to enhance the diverse culture of excellence in our state. The Hall of Fame invites everyone to nominate individuals, groups and organizations to receive an Acts of Excellence award.
