Dry Dusty Rhodes upsets pet owners BY DAVE SCHWAB | THE BEACON

Dusty Rhodes Dog Park in Ocean Beach is getting, well, dustier. So much so, that users are beginning to clamor for something more to be done about it. “It basically looks like a rodeo ground,” said Mike Ryan, former vice chair of Peninsula Community Planning Board, who is a frequent user, along with dog Maggie, of Dusty Rhodes' small-dog enclosure.

A Night on the Edge at Cabrillo National Monument A Night on the Edge at Cabrillo National Monument on Sept. 16 featured dance performances by Erika Malone and other dancers from around San Diego. Joan Green, this year’s artist in residence, collaborated with the dancers and helped direct the

intense, exciting, fearful, an unknown." The main event was the full Harvest Moon rising above the city (above). Cabrillo National Monument, normally closed to the public after 5 p.m., periodically has special fundraising events after dark.
