Our vocational courses are a great way to get a handson education ready for your chosen industry. We have designed our courses so that you gain the right skills you need to secure jobs once you’ve finished college.

Once you have gained an extensive range of skills and have specialised in your industry, you will be ready to start your career. You may also consider heading off to university or starting an Apprenticeships to further your knowledge.

Once you’ve specialised in one of our Level 3 courses, they often give you enough UCAS points to get into university. We’ve got a great track record of helping our vocational students get into university so they can gain even more knowledge in their chosen subject.

Once you have completed your course, you may want to start an Apprenticeship. You will be able to continue studying while earning a wage, and depending on your industry and level, you may be able to go in at Level 3 and work up to degree level.

We have worked with key employers to help shape the things that you learn during your time with us. That means, once you have finished your course, you will have developed the key knowledge, skills, and behaviours that employers are looking for - making you a prime candidate for employment after college.

We’re really lucky to have some of the finest tutors in the South East teaching at our college. They’re all fully-qualified teachers and have years of industry experience in the subject they teach. They draw on real-life examples from their practices to help bring your subject to life.

We have fantastic relationships with lots of local businesses. They endorse our courses and help us to shape what we are teaching you, so you are work-ready when you finish college.

We are working with more employers than ever before to offer you meaningful work experience and industry placements. You will be able to complete at least one week of industry placement each year that you study with us. We have a dedicated team who can match your career ambitions to a local employer so that your experience is relevant and beneficial.

We offer the widest range of vocational qualifications in East Sussex. Over the past decade, we have excelled in a number of vocational areas such as Art & Design, Engineering, Hair & Beauty, Hospitality & Catering, and Travel & Tourism. So whatever your ambition, we’ll have a course for you.

6Incredible facilities Our state-of-the-art buildings are home to workshops, salons, kitchens and studios that are just like the ones you would find in industry. We have stacks of equipment and resources that enable you to learn and practise key skills that are getting you ready for the future.

We know that the learning you do outside of the classroom can be just as important as the things you learn in it. We want you to be able to learn from real-life experiences and have fun while you do it. That’s why our industry trips are an important part of our courses.

Our campuses are really easy to get to. Station Plaza is situated right in the centre of town, and right next door to Hastings train and bus station. Ore Valley is a twominute walk for Ore train station, and the Automotive Training Centre (ATC) is just out of town along the Ridge.

Our impressive facilities feature comfortable classrooms, fitted with interactive whiteboards.

Ore Valley is crammed with 7,000sq ft of realistic workshops all kitted out with industry-standard tools.

Coast Restaurant is a cosy and friendly setting that has a 5-star rating on TripAdvisor.

Plaza Fitness is a modern gym kitted out with a range of fitness equipment.

Our Learning Resource Centres are packed with books, computers, printers, study spaces and friendly staff who are always available to help you with assignment research, referencing and proofreading.

There are plenty of places for you to grab breakfast, lunch, snacks, or a cup of coffee before lessons. At Plaza and Ore Valley we have Coast Coffee which serves Costa coffee and our Coast Kitchen, serves freshly cooked hot meals. We also have an on-site Subway at Plaza, meaning you can still enjoy the sub of the day!
