1st EAO Salesian Cooperators Formators Workshop
ระหว่างวันที่ 24-27 พฤษภาคม 2019 คณะซาเลเซียนผู้ร่วมงานภูมิภาค EAO ได้จัดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการผู้ให้การ อบรมของกลุม่ ซาเลเซียนผูร้ ว่ มงานครัง้ ที่ 1 ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกและโอเชียเนีย ณ ดอนบอสโกโฮเต็ล สีหนุวลิ ล์ ประเทศ กัมพูชา มีผเู้ ข้าร่วมการอบรมจ�ำนวน 58 คน จาก 11 ประเทศ ในจ�ำนวนนี้มีสมาชิกจาก ประเทศไทยจ�ำนวน 8 คน น�ำโดยคุณพ่อ สุ พ จน์ ริ้ ว งามและสมาชิ ก จากกั ม พู ช า จ�ำนวน 9 คน ทีเ่ ข้าร่วมการอบรมในครัง้ นี้

On the 24th - 27th of May 2019, the Salesian Cooperators of the EAO Region organized the first seminar - workshop for the formators of the association. This was held at Don Bosco Hotel - Sihanoukville, Cambodia. There were 58 participants from 11 countries. Among this number were 8 members from Thailand led by Fr. Dominic Savio Suphot Riungam, and 9 other members from Cambodia itself.
ค่ายสัมพันธ์เชิงคุณธรรมของโรงเรียนหัวหินวิทยาลัย Values-related Camp of Huahin Vithayalai School โรงเรียนหัวหินวิทยาลัยจัดกิจกรรม ค่ายสัมพันธ์เชิงคุณธรรมให้แก่นักเรียน ระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 เมื่อวันที่ 1 มิถุนายน 2019 โดยได้มีพิธีการฝากตัว ไว้กับแม่พระ และมีกิจกรรมกระชับความ สัมพันธ์ระหว่างรุ่นพี่และรุ่นน้อง
Huahin Vitthayalai School organized the ‘Values-related Camp’ for the students of Mathayom 4 on 1 June 2019. The highlight of the activity was the ceremony of placing oneself under the maternal care of the Blessed Mother. An activity was also done to create a closer relationship between the younger and the elder students.
It was very moving for me to meet with Bororo and Xavante youth joined together in this land where the Bororos live, to meet the missionaries who share day-to-day life with them and to celebrate our Faith right on the spot where our martyrs met their deaths.

My dear confreres, You are probably asking what I mean by the title given to this letter and what topic I wish to speak about. I understand your wonder. So as to dispel any doubts, I shall begin by sharing with you what I experienced during one of my latest visits to our Salesian presences. Not too long ago, I was visiting and accompanying the people in the Salesian works in Mato Grosso and Southern Mato Grosso in Brazil – specifically in the tiny village of Cuiabá – where our first Salesian missionaries arrived 125 years ago. Today it is a very beautiful little town. I told my brother Salesians that, just as I had done in El Chaco, Paraguay, I wanted to visit our work among the indigenous peoples in Mato Grosso, where we have been among the Ayoreos, the Maskoy, and the Chamacocos for decades. I also asked to visit our missionary presences in Mato Grosso. We arrived in Meruri, the settlement of the indigenous Bororo people, around dusk. In 1894, our Salesian missionaries made their first contact with the Xavantes Indians of the area. That first encounter was a sad one. The indigenous people killed the first two Salesian missionaries to
arrive. Nonetheless, the missioners soon founded Sacred Heart Colony and began the evangelization of the Bororos living in this region. In 1906, they founded the Sangradouro Colony. It was to this colony that the Xavantes came after having been expelled and almost annihilated by Parabuburi of the area. By 1926 the Salesian missionaries had continuous, stable, and solid presences in those settlements among the Xavante and Bororo peoples. Our works, such as Sangradouro, St. Mark, and Meruri have been strengthened right up till the present. When the Xavante Indians arrived at the Sangradouro settlement – where they were welcomed by the Salesians and the Bororos (even if they had been enemies throughout their history) – they numbered but 900 members. Today, thanks to the protection given them and today’s respect for cultures, in addition to formation to enable them to work with and begin relations with organizations and governments, they now number 30,000. The people of Meruri welcomed us in their traditional style. Certainly, you can see this from the pictures. I used as much of the time as possible to meet with all the missionaries who live among these peoples at present: 18 Salesians of Don Bosco and
8 Daughters of Mary Help of Christians were there along with two religious sisters from the Congregation of St. Laura (known as the “Lauritas”), Colombian sisters with whom we work very harmoniously for the good of these native peoples, our brothers and sisters. The following morning we experienced two events of great historical significance. The first: 40 Xavante boys and girls came to join the Bororo people for the day because we were there. Never before had the Bororos and the Xavantes come together like this. The Boi Bororos and Xavante youths made possible what the adults never had been able to do before in their history: we met together, chatted, and entertained various questions; they did their traditional dances; we celebrated the Eucharist; and we had all our meals together – a few hundred persons. The second significant event was that we celebrated the Eucharist in the very place where Salesian Father Rudolph Lukembein, a German missionary, and an Indian, Simao Cristino, were assassinated by os facendeiros; i.e., powerful landowners who were upset because the Salesians defended the native peoples and their rights to the land. On July 15, 1976, these landowners came to the settlement and, after a short argument, shot Fr. Rudolph. Simao, the indigenous man, went to defend him, and he, too, was executed. On the day of my visit, I was able to greet, speak with, and enjoy the presence of an elderly man who also had been stabbed then but managed to survive. He was there in the morning for our Eucharist, a humble presence. The cause for the beatification and canonization of these two martyrs is now underway; both are now “Servants of God.” It was very moving for me to be there where the Bororos live and to meet with the Bororo and Xavante youths who had asked to be together for this occasion. I also was
moved to meet with the missionaries who share life day-to-day with these peoples and to celebrate our Faith there where the martyrs met their deaths only because they sought to help better the life of these peoples and who had their lives stripped away from them only because they sought to defend them. Early the next morning, again together with the Bororo community, we made a short procession and visit to the cemetery at the settlement. There, at the tombs of Simao and Fr. Rudolph, we prayed for everyone. My thoughts flew from there to Africa to the border of Burkina Faso and Togo, where our Salesian confrere Fr. Cesar Antonio Fernandez, a missionary from Spain, had his life cut short just a little more than two months ago at an absurd border roadblock. It was one of the most senseless shootings by radicals, simply because he was a priest and missionary. I hope that the title of this letter is a just response to these two stories. Blood poured out brings forth so much anguish but also generates life. I saw this among the Bororo and Xavante peoples, and we see it in Africa, where “life miracles” happen daily.
These few lines hope to be a “thank you” for the so very many dedicated persons of boundless generosity. It is also meant to be a thank you to so many of you, dear friends, who continue to trust in the good which we do together in this world – this world that never ceases to need good things and good news to cheer the heart, and actions that change lives. Indeed, not everything that happens in this world is bad. On the contrary, the world has been redeemed, and there is so much good that is sown and happens each day – but the good doesn’t make news. It seems that only evil, tragedies, violence, and murders do. Then let us be people who spread good news. The last thing I want to share with you is this: despite the suffering and pain in the face of these murders, they are realities that bring forth life.

จบคอร์สการอบรมจิตตารมณ์ซาเลเซียน Course on Salesian Spirituality
ชนะเลิศปันจักสีลตั ในกีฬาเยาวชนแห่งชาติครัง้ ที่ 35
สมาชิกซาเลเซียนและบุคคลากรฆราวาส (ครูค�ำสอน ครูแผนก อภิบาล) ในสถาบันซาเลเซียนแขวงไทย THA จ�ำนวน 17 คน ได้จบ คอร์สการอบรมชีวิตจิตซาเลเซียน ณ บ้านอบรมแม่พระองค์อุปถัมภ์ ที่ Nasugbu Batangas ประเทศฟิ ลิ ป ปิ น ส์ ระหว่ า งวั น ที่ 8-30 พฤษภาคม 2019 โดยมี คุ ณ พ่ อ อนุ สิ ท ธิ์ จั น ทร์ เ พ็ ญ และคุณพ่อเทพรัตน์ ปิติสันต์ ที่ช่วยในการแปลภาษา The Salesian confreres and lay mission partners in the Salesian institutes of Thailand finished the course on Salesian Spirituality held at the Mary Help of Christians Formation Center in Nasugbu, Batangas - Philippines. The course was done from the 8th - 30th of May 2019. There were 14 participants from Thailand, 2 from Cambodia, and 1 from Laos. The newly ordained Salesian priest, Fr. Anthony Anusit Chanphen, helped in the translation to enable the participants from Thailand to understand the inputs better. Fr. Dheparat Pitisant, the Provincial of THA, followed later to substitute Fr. Anusit in the translation and in the interiorization of the subject matter.
นายเจษฎากร คงบุ ญ ชั้ น ม.6 โรงเรี ย นหั ว หิ น วิ ท ยาลั ย จ.ประจวบฯได้รบั รางวัลชนะเลิศอันดับ 1 เหรียญทอง จากการแข่งขัน กีฬาปันจักสีลตั ในการแข่งขันกีฬาเยาวชนแห่งชาติครัง้ ที่ 35 “บุรรี มั ย์ เกมส์” ระหว่างวันที่ 10-20 พฤษภาคม 2019 นอกนั้น นักกีฬาของ โรงเรียนหัวหินวิทยาลัยยังได้รับรางวัลต่างๆ จากการแข่งขันกีฬา ปันจักสีลัตชิงแชมป์ภาคกลางประจ�ำปี 2562 ณ จังหวัดนนทบุรีอีก หลายรายการ Mr. Chesadakorn Khongbun, a student of Mathayom 6 at Huahin Vithayalai School in Prachuabkhirikhan Province, received the ‘gold medal’ in Panchak Si Lat event at the 35th National Youth Games held in Buriram Province from the 10th - 20th of May 2019. Aside from this, other sportsmen from Huahin Vithayalai received many other prizes in Panchak Si Lat event at the competition in the Central Region in 2562 / 2019.

สมาชิกซาเลเซียนผู้ร่วมงานของวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีดอนบอสโก บ้านโป่ง จ.ราชบุรี ประชุมร่วมกับคุณพ่อแอนโทนี เรสเตลลี อธิการ ใหม่และจิตตาธิการของกลุ่ม เมื่อวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2019 โดยได้ มีการแนะน�ำสมาชิกของกลุม่ และมีการแบ่งปันประสบการณ์ของการ ไปร่วม EAO workshop formators ที่ประเทศกัมพูชา และวางแผน งานประจ�ำปีร่วมกัน The members of the Association of Salesian Cooperators of Don Bosco Technological College - Banpong, Ratchaburi Province held a meeting with Father Anthony Restelli, the new rector and spiritual animator of the group. The meeting was done on 31 May 2019 with the introduction of the members and the sharing of the experiences at EAO seminar - workshop for formators in Cambodia. A year plan was also drawn up during this meeting. 4

Gold Medal in Panchak Si Lat at the 35th National Youth Games
เมื่อวันที่ 1 มิถุนายน 2019 ซึ่งเป็นวันเด็กแห่งชาติของ สปป.ลาว คณะผูใ้ หญ่ คณะครูและนักเรียนของศูนย์ฝกึ วิชาชีพดอนบอสโกเวียงจันทน์ สปป.ลาว ได้ร่วมกันปลูกต้นไม้รอบบริเวณศูนย์เพื่อให้มีความร่มรื่น ในภาคเช้า ส่วนในภาคบ่ายได้มกี ารแข่งขันกีฬาเชือ่ มสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง นักเรียนและคุณครู On 1 June 2019, which was the children’s day in the People’s Republic of Laos, the Salesians, teachers and students of Don Bosco Training Center in Vientienne, held an activity in the morning by planting trees around the area of the Training Center and along the fence to create a pleasant atmosphere of the area. In the afternoon, there were sports competition to build a close relationship among the teachers and the students.

โบว์ลิ์งการกุศล ครั้งที่ 7 The 7th Charity Bowling Competition เมื่อวันอาทิตย์ 9 มิถุนายน 2562 คณะกรรมการจตุภาคี ซึ่ง ประกอบด้วย โรงเรียนสารสิทธิ์พิทยาลัย สมาคมศิษย์เก่าสารสิทธิ์ พิทยาลัย สมาคมผู้ปกครองและครูโรงเรียนสารสิทธิ์พิทยาลัย และ ชมรมครูผู้สูงอายุโรงเรียนสารสิทธิ์พิทยาลัย ได้จัดการแข่งขันโบว์ลิ่ง การกุศล ครัง้ ที่ 7 ขึน้ ณ บ้านโป่งโบว์ล ต.ท่าผา อ.บ้านโป่ง จ.ราชบุรี โดยในครั้งนี้ โรงเรียนสารสิทธิ์พิทยาลัย เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการแข่งขัน โดย มี ดร.วัลลภ เจียรวนนท์ นายกสมาคมศิษย์เก่าฯ และนายก สมาคมผู้ปกครองและครูฯ เป็นประธานการแข่งขัน มีผู้เข้าร่วมการ แข่งขันทั้งหมด 136 ทีม จัดการแข่งขันแบ่งเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ ประเภททีมนักเรียน และ ประเภทบุคคลทั่วไป บรรยากาศในการ แข่งขันเป็นไปด้วยความสนุกสนาน และเป็นไปตามวัตถุประสงค์ คือ เพื่อให้มีการพบปะสังสรรค์และร่วมกันเล่นกีฬา ระหว่างโรงเรียน ผู้ปกครอง นักเรียน ศิษย์เก่า และเพื่อน�ำเงินรายได้สนับสนุน กิจกรรมต่างๆของโรงเรียน
Thai Representative at the Miss Pre-teen International Contest 2019 ด.ญ.พิชามญช์ุ แสงสอดแก้ว นักเรียนชั้น ม.1 ของโรงเรียน ดอนบอสโกวิทยา จ.อุดรธานี ได้รบั ต�ำแหน่ง “หนูนอ้ ยแห่งสยาม ประจ�ำปี 2561” และได้รับการคัดเลือก เป็นตัวแทนประเทศไทย ไปประกวดเวที ร ะดั บ นานาชาติ ณ ประเทศสิ ง คโปร์ ในรุ ่ น Pre Teen International 2019 ปลายเดือนมิถุนายน 2019 นี้ Miss Pichamon Sangsodkaew, a Mathayom 1 student of Don Bosco Vitthaya School - Udonthani, received the prize of being “The Little Girl of Siam 2019”. She was selected as the representative of Thailand to the international stage in Singapore for the “Pre-teen International 2019” to be held on June 2019.
On Sunday, the 9th of June 2019, the Chaturaphakee Committee which include Sarasit Phithayalai School, The Alumni Association, The Parents - Teachers Association, The Elderly Teachers Group of Sarasit Phithayalai School, organized the 7th Charity Bowling Competition at Banpong Bowl, Thapha Town, Banpong Municipality, Ratchaburi Province. This time, Sarasit Phithayalai School was the host of the event, with Dr. Wallop Chiaravanont, the president of the Alumni Association and the president of the Parents and Teachers Association, as Chairman of the competition. 136 teams registered for this event, divided into 2 divisions: the students’ division and the general public division. There was a happy atmosphere throughout, that reflected the purpose of the activity, which was to have a meaningful, creative meeting and engaging in sports among the school personnel, the parents, the students, the alumni, and to raise funds to support the various activities of the school.

Spiritual Recollection of the Catholic Students - Grade 4 - 6 Levels
งานอภิบาลเยาวชนโรงเรียนเซนต์ดอมินิก จัดกิจกรรมอบรม ฟื้นฟูจิตใจส�ำหรับนักเรียนคาทอลิกชั้น ป.4-6 จ�ำนวน 32 คน ใน หัวข้อ “HOLINESS FOR YOU TOO” โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ เสริมสร้างความเชื่อคาทอลิก ผ่านการเรียนรู้บุคคลต้นแบบแห่ง ความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ซึ่งน�ำมาเป็นแนวทางการปฎิบัติตนในชีวิตประจ�ำวัน โดยมีคุณพ่อบุญเลิศ ปณีตัธยาศัย อธิการบ้านซาเลเซียนสามพราน เป็นผู้ให้การอบรม พร้อมด้วยคุณครูค�ำสอน เป็นผู้ดูแลนักเรียน ตลอดกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ ระหว่างวันที่ 7 - 9 มิถุนายน 2019 ณ บ้าน ศานติธรรมซาวีโอ อ.สามพราน จ.นครปฐม โอกาสนี้นักเรียนได้ไป จาริกที่สักการสถานบุญราศีคุณพ่อนิโคลาส บุญเกิด กฤษบ�ำรุงด้วย The youth pastoral ministry of St. Dominic School organized the spiritual renewal of the catholic students of the Grade 4 -6 elementary level. There were 32 participants who reflected on the topic “Holiness For You Too”. The main purpose was to cultivate the faith through learning from the holy persons, and make this as a practical guide in daily life. Fr. Anthony Boonlert Paneetatthayasai, the rector of Salesianum, Sampran was the formator together with the catechists who served as assistants throughout this recollection days, which was held at the Savio House in Sampran, Nakorn Pathom, from the 7th - 9th June 2019. On this occasion, the students made a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Blessed Nicolas Boonkerd.

team supervisors of all disciplines that will travel to the International Academic Olympiad of the Year 2019. They attended the send-off ceremony on June 7, 2019 at the Chai Patana Building, Chitralada Palace. Among these numbers were 5 students of the SME Program of Saeng Thong Vitthaya School and Thidanukroh School, Hatyai, Songkhla Province. They will represent Thailand at the 16th International Junior Science Olympiad 2019, from the 3 - 12 December 2019 in Doha, Qatar.

มูลนิธชิ ว่ ยคนตาบอดแห่งประเทศไทยในพระบรมราชินปู ถัมป์ ครบรอบ 80 ปี ได้จดั การปัน่ จักรยานร่วมกับคนพิการทางการเห็น “Bike with the Blind” ภายใต้แนวคิด Ride For Sharing โดยมีนายขรรค์ ประจวบเหมาะ ประธานกรรมการมูลนิธิช่วยคนตาบอดแห่งประเทศไทย ใน พระบรมราชินูปถัมภ์ เป็นประธานในการจัดกิจกรรมดังกล่าว พร้อมด้วยคุณพ่อชาร์ลส์ เวลาร์โด กรรมการมูลนิธิและประธานฝ่ายกิจกรรมเป็นผู้ร่วมด�ำเนินการ กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นการจัดให้คนตาดีร่วมปั่นจักรยานไปกับผู้บกพร่องทางการเห็นใน 4 ภาค 6 จังหวัด เริ่มต้นเส้นทางแรกที่จังหวัดเชียงใหม่, จังหวัดนครราชสีมา, ขอนแก่น, ชลบุรี, สุราษฎร์ธานีและ กรุงเทพมหานคร 7 ก.ค. 2562 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นถึง ศักยภาพของคนตาบอดและเป็นการสร้างปฏิสมั พันธ์และความเข้าใจทีถ่ กู ต้องทีม่ ตี อ่ คนตาบอด ให้กับบุคคลทั่วไปในสังคม อนึ่ง ศูนย์พัฒนาสมรรถภาคคนตาบอด อ.ปากเกร็ด จ.นนทบุรีซึ่งด�ำเนินการโดยคณะซาเลเซียน และศูนย์ฝึกอาชีพหญิงตาบอดสามพราน จ.นครปฐม ซึ่งด�ำเนินการโดยซิสเตอร์ซาเลเซียน ศูนย์ทั้งสองเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของมูลนิธิดังกล่าวด้วย The Foundation for the Blind in Thailand, under the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, on the occasion of its 80th anniversary of foundation, organized the “Bike With the Blind” event under the theme ‘Ride for Sharing’. Mr. Khan Prachuabmoh, the President of the Board of the Foundation for the Blind, under the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, presided at this activity together with Fr. Charles Velardo, SDB, a member of the Board of the Foundation and the activity head. This activity was organized with the normally sighted people riding with the visually impaired in 4 regions - 6 provinces, starting with the first route in Chiangmai. From there, the activity came down to Nakorn Ratchasima Province, in Khon Kaen, in Chonburi Province, in Surat Thani Province and in Bangkok on 7 July 2019. The main purpose of the activity was to showcase the ability of the blind to the general public, together with their various skills which they learned and were trained for. This was also an occasion for the normally sighted people to share their kindness by biking with the visually impaired, and build the right understanding and relationship in the society. On the other hand, the Skills Development Center for the Blind, Pakkret, Nonthaburi Province under the care of the Salesian Congregation, and the Skills Training Center for Blind Women - Sampran, Nakorn Prathom Province run by the Salesian Sisters - these two are an integral part of the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand.
