อภิรติกชนซาเลเซียนฟื้นฟูจิตใจประจ�ำปี Annual retreat of the Thai Salesian Aspirants in Hua Hin วันที่ 26-28 กรกฎาคม 2020 อภิรติกชนซาเลเซียนบ้านหัวหิน จ.ประจวบฯ (ระดับ มัธยมต้น) และบ้านนาซาเรท อ.บ้านโป่ง จ.ราชบุรี (ระดับมัธยมปลายและ ปวช) จ�ำนวน 43 คน ฟื้นฟูจิตใจประจ�ำปี ในหัวข้อ “จับมือกันเดินไปพร้อมกับพระคริสตเจ้า ตามจิตตารมณ์พ่อบอสโก” โดยคุณพ่ออนุสิทธิ์ จันทร์เพ็ญ เป็นผู้เทศน์ ณ บ้านฟื้นฟูจิตใจ ซาเลเซียน อ.หัวหิน จ.ประจวบฯ Hua Hin, Thailand, on 25-28 July 2020 - Fr. John Somchart SDB, rector of Nazareth House, organised the 2020 annual spiritual retreat for the Salesian aspirants of Nazareth House together with the aspirants from Hua Hin. This retreat was facilitated by Fr Anusit Chanphen SDB at the Salesian Retreat House Hua Hin. There were 43 aspirants who participated in the retreat, with the theme “Salesian Aspirants are walking together with Jesus Christ through the spirit of Don Bosco.”

She is lowly: her only desire is to be the handmaid of the Lord (cf. Lk 1:38, 48). She knows that she will only contribute to the salvation of the world if, rather than carrying out her own projects, she places herself completely at the disposal of God’s initiatives.

Dear confreres and members of Salesian Family and friends, 1. Even though there is some hope for the coming vaccine to treat the Covid virus, yet, in all countries, the Pandemic is still spreading with long-term detrimental consequences for the poor and our young people, including our institutes to serve to them. Let us continue to live up to our responsibilities

as good citizens and Christians, working together to restrict the expansion of this plague and collaborate to reduces the bodily and moral as well as spiritual costs in this special moment of global history. Let us consolidate our sense of responsibility for the common good, the community responsibility for the well being of our communities at different levels. 2. The Rector Major and his Council have completed their Summer Meeting Sessions [from the whole month of June to the 10th of July]. One of their tasks, entrusted by the members of the General Chapter 28, is to complete its 3rd Theme. I was not a delegate of the GC28, yet, as many of you, I followed up closely this important event, studying the documents related to it, as well as the synthesis of all contributions of provincial chapters to the GC28. In particular, I was illumined very much with those General Councillors who had participated in the Assembly themselves, and somehow, I was instructed by the present situation of the Salesian congregation on this essential theme. In fact, since 1996, the time of General Chapter 24, the
direction of the whole Congregation has become more and more decisive: the spirit and mission of Don Bosco are not in the monopoly of the Salesians of Don Bosco themselves. The lay people are called to share in this spirit and mission for the better service to poor youth. This direction is now “decisive”, that means, not optative, yet, must be strongly affirmed in thinking, expressed in doing and even in structure or organization. In the words of our Rector Major, no longer can the Salesian return to the old way of thinking and doing things as if they were the boss! The collaboration must be bilateral, both way. No only the laity is called to collaborate with the Salesians, but the Salesians are called to collaborate with the laity themselves. What always remains to the Salesians is that they become the reference point of the charism for the whole Salesian Family. I believe strongly that once the results of the General chapter 28 are promulgated, for the sake of the creative fidelity, or, in other words, to be faithful to our Salesian charismatic identity in this historical moment, all Salesians will study themselves the mentality of the
whole congregation, to discern the lines of actions, and implement those necessary changes for the benefit of our services. And together with other groups of Salesian Family, we go ahead in this direction. 3. In addition, in their respective area, each General Councillor is making great effort to find some way to animate his Sector or the Region entrusted to him. In this moment of very limited mobility, many of us appeal to the use of modern technology of communication. We use online communication to learn the issues of our Sector and Region and together with those responsible, we hope to come up with our six year plan, implementing the teaching of the GC28. I have learned from my experiences is that the contribution from the grass root, the local communities and each individual is very essential to the whole community at different levels. On my part, I am still being in the Provincial House of Vietnam, starting
my task of animation in these days, with attendance to provincial events like Provincial Day, Priestly Ordination, First or Perpetual Religious Professions, with visits to local communities in Vietnam, the Delegation of the North. I did participate and still participate in online meetings with various groups of our EAO regions as well as giving online conferences to others. I hope that once the Covid is over, as soon as possible, I pledge to come to all provinces and vice provinces which so far, I know only
in documents or through some confreres I know in meetings or in classes in Paranaque. Please help me in such a way that as the link between the Rector Major, his Council and the provinces/ vice provinces,  I could convey to them your situation, issues, problems, challenges, contributions and solutions in the most accurate and proper way.

กีฬาสัมพันธ์ Sports Fest เมื่อวันที่ 3 สิงหาคม 2020 คุณพ่อภูวนัส กิจสวัสดิ์ ผู้อ�ำนวยการ วิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีดอนบอสโก บ้านโป่ง ได้กล่าวเปิดกีฬาสัมพันธ์ ระดับ ปวส. ขึ้น ทั้งนี้เพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์อันดีแก่นักศึกษา และ เสริมสร้างสุขภาพที่แข็งแรง โดยจะมีการแข่งขันทุกวันจันทร์ในคาบ กิจกรรมเวลา 18.00 น.

On 3 August 2020, Fr. Phuwanat Kitsawat, the principal of Don Bosco Technological College - Banpong, declared open the ‘Sports Fest’ of the Diploma Level vocational students to promote good relationships among the students and to promote good health. The sports events would be held every Monday, during the activity time at 18.00 hrs.
วันที่ 2 สิงหาคม 2020 หมู่คณะซาเลเซียนประเทศกัมพูชา จัดฉลองวันเกิดครบ 88 ปี แด่คุณพ่อยอห์น วิสเซอร์ ที่โรงเรียน ดอนบอสโก พนมเปญ โดยตอนเช้าคุณพ่อวิสเซอร์เป็นประธานใน มิสซา ส่วนในช่วงบ่ายบรรดาศิษย์เก่าได้มาอวยพร พร้อมกับน�ำ ข้าวสารและอุปกรณ์ต่างๆ มามอบให้กับนักเรียนรุ่นน้อง August 2, 2020 - The Salesian Delegation of Cambodia celebrated the 88th birthday of Fr. John Visser, SDB at Don Bosco Phnom Penh. A Eucharistic celebration with representatives from Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville participated and enjoyed the family lunch. In the afternoon the past pupils regalled Fr Visser with speeches and songs.

Nattawut Kitsawad, Bro. Michael Gaikwad and Bro. Daniel Rafanomezantsoa who are presently staying at the Salesian House in Melbourne, Australia, have also been affected by the situation in their theological studies which have to go on-line for the rest of the school year 2020. The liturgical services have been put on-line as well. We pray for our salesian confreres, including those belonging to the Australia-Pacific Province during this situation.

ฟื้นฟูจิตใจ Spiritual Recollection วันที่ 10-12 สิงหาคม 2020 คุณพ่ออารอน อัลโกเซบา เจ้าอาวาส วัดแม่พระองค์อปุ ถัมภ์ กรุงเทพกรีฑา ได้นำ� สภาภิบาลและสมาชิกกลุม่ ADMA จ�ำนวน 21 คน ไปเข้าเงียบฟืน้ ฟูจติ ใจประจ�ำปี ณ บ้านฟืน้ ฟูจติ ใจ อ.หัวหิน จ.ประจวบฯ โดยคุณพ่อชัยยะ กิจสวัสดิ์ เป็นผูเ้ ทศน์ ในหัวข้อ “รูจ้ กั พระคิมภีร์ รูจ้ กั พระคริสตเจ้า”
From the 6-8 August 2020, Fr. Ceferino Ledesma, the confrere incharge of the salesian formation in Cambodia, organized the meeting of the 4 brothers in practical training. In the course, they visited an orphanage in Sihanoukville which is under the supervision of the Salesian Foundation, under the responsibility of Bro. Robert Panetto.
From 10-12 August 2020, Fr. Aaron Alcoseba, the director of Mary Help of Christians Church, Krungthep Kritha, led the members of the parish pastoral council and the members of the ADMA group, numbering 21 in all, to a spiritual recollection at the Salesian Retreat House, Huahin, Prachuabkhirikhan. Fr. John Chaiya Kitsawat was invited to lead the recollection in this year of ‘The Word of God’ on the theme “To know the scriptures is to know Christ”

On 11 August 2020, Sarasit Phithayalai School organized a press conference to introduce teaching basic football called “Sarasit Football Academy” together with Mr. Nirut Surasiang [an alumnus of Sarasit School and a past national football player of Thailand] at the Dominic Savio Hall of the school.
From the 24-26 July 2020, Siradanai Siriporananon, Grade 6 student of Saeng Thong Vithaya, Songkhla Province, joined the Bangkok Youth Ice-hockey Tournament 2020, under the team Bangkok Warriors 08, U12 category. The team won the championship, gold medal, and he received the ‘most valuable player’ award during the championship match. July 2020
