Elaina Guerrero

Elaina is also a Shreveport Dance Academy and Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet alumnus. She began dancing at SDA at the age of 4, and continued until her graduation from high school at the age of 18.

Upon graduating from Northwestern State University in 2019, Elaina was hired to work as a parade performer at the Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida. At Disney, she danced the part of Candy Cane Girl in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, female dancer in The Main Street Trolley Show, and Swan Court female and Highland female in The Festival of Fantasy Parade.

Elaina taught Progressions 8-9 ballet and jazz classes this year, and joined Team SDA as Assistant Director.

8-9 Ballet student Alyssa Stanley said, “Ms. Elaina is a really kind instructor and has been helping with my difficult ballet moves. She is very patient with me but makes sure that you get the move right. Even though she can be tough, she’s really nice.”

Kathryn Harris

Known affectionately as Ms. Kat, Kathryn grew up dancing with the Longview Ballet Theatre. While at LBT, she performed in many well known ballets, and had the opportunity to perform the role of “Clara” in The Nutcracker twice! She was also fortunate enough to dance and study with Utah’s Ballet West. This year, Kat taught 8-9 Ballet, Lower Level 1 and 2 Ballet Technique, Elite Level 1 Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, and Adult Ballet. She also serves as the Assistant Artistic Director for the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet.
