This is a good time to purchase a range card. You can purchase 20 large buckets for $125 (a savings of $1.75 per bucket) or 50 large buckets for $250 (a savings of $3 per bucket)!

September 2018 From The Pro Shop Tom MacKinney, PGA Associate September in the Pro Shop Annual Pass Holders - September means overseed and our special this month is $1 off re-gripping. Grips can be ordered through the golf shop and you will receive $1 off the normal $3 per grip labor charge.

Typically, a 2 day lead time for receiving grips from manufacturer and then 1 day for the actual regripping. Get those worn grips regripped and watch those scores improve.

September Pro Shop hours The Pro Shop will be open for normal hours 6am-5pm through Sunday September 16. We will be closed September 17 & 18 and re-open for a limited schedule 9am-12 noon September 19-October 7.

The course and pro shop will re-open (cart path only) October 8th. During overseed the range will be open (mats only) beginning September 19.

The first round of Play with the Pros is complete. Rick Price, Tim Lochner and Tom MacKinney each paired with 3 different 3 some’s with the best score for each pro’s groups (1 ball gross 1 ball net) advancing to the finals to be held Monday September 10. The teams advancing to the finals are: 1. Rick Price, Kurt Klucking, Bill Cocanour, Debbie Huffman. 2. Tim Lochner, Don Bong, Adam Dress, Gary Grabe. 3. Tom MacKinney, George Quigg, Larry Reitz, Mike Pidone. We hope all those that competed enjoyed this event and we look forward to hosting again in the fall.

This 36-hole tournament will showcase 12 of some of the top high school programs in Arizona. Congratulations to Jack Poppe who had quite a day on August 6, 2018. If holing out for eagle on #2 was not enough, Jack the proceeded to ace the 108 yd 3rd hole. This was Jack’s 5th career hole in one….Wow !

These feats were witnessed by; Bryan Smith and Mike Bonfiglio.

The downtown effect One of the keys to putting is understanding the “downtown effect”. The Views Golf Club was built in such a way that it has a slight tilt toward downtown Tucson. This will affect the speed of your putts when putting towards Tucson. They will be faster. The opposite will be true putting away from Tucson. It will also effect the break when putting west to east (left to right) or east to west (right to left). When in doubt, remember the “downtown effect”.
