THE HEAD OF SCHOOL AWARD is presented to the student who, in the opinion of the faculty, best exemplifies a Sierra Canyon education. This student has fully embraced the Core Value of Excellence, constantly striving to attain their best in every single endeavor, whether in the classroom, on the playing field, or in the community. In establishing excellence as a personal standard, this student has become a paragon of the entire community.
THE TRUSTEES PRIZE is presented to the student who, upon the recommendation of the faculty and the Board of Trustees, best represents the intangible qualities that uphold a strong learning community, such as integrity, perspective, contribution, service to others, and leadership. While these qualities can be difficult to quantify, this student has made a vital, palpable impact on the School and has become a true pillar of the community.
THE FOUNDER’S AWARD is presented to the male and female studentathletes who have excelled beyond all others over the course of their Sierra Canyon careers. These two athletes are the embodiment of the Sierra Canyon student-athlete, committed equally to athletic success, academic pursuit, and true sportsmanship.
THE RENAISSANCE AWARD is presented to the senior who has mastered their craft in the Visual and Performing Arts by continuous dedication throughout their Sierra Canyon career. In addition, he or she has maintained a high standard of excellence in all of their academic pursuits, while excelling in the arts.
THE SIERRA CANYON INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARD is awarded to the senior international student who best embodies the Core Value of Excellence while also fully engaging themself in the Sierra Canyon School community. This student has taken advantage of the many opportunities offered both inside and outside the classroom, thus serving as a role model for peers who come from abroad, encouraging them to make the most of their time at Sierra Canyon.
