Southern provides short- and long-term education abroad opportunities for students in every major, ranging from 12 faculty-directed SCSU programs abroad to 20 semester- or year-long exchange partnerships, to hundreds of accredited foreign universities through third-party education abroad providers. Students studying abroad at SCSU exchange partner universities gain international experience while paying SCSU tuition and fees, and scholarships and financial aid can be applied to nearly any education abroad experience!

To be considered for financial aid, you must

complete the 2016-2017 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA; fafsa.ed.gov) and submit it to the federal processor by the March 15, 2016, priority date. Southern awards financial aid on the basis of demonstrated need and will send notification to recipients beginning in mid-March.

It is important to research and apply for scholarships for which you qualify to help pay for your education. Scholarships can reduce family out-of-pocket expenditures and loan debt.
