SCRLA Hosts COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center

The South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association held two COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics in Columbia on March 23 and 26 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

These events were held in collaboration with Blue Marlin, the Vista Guild and Lovelace Family Medicine.

Frontline hospitality employees and individuals classified in Phases 1a and 1b were eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. More than 900 members of the Midlands community received their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and will receive their second dose in a subsequent vaccination clinic.

Dr. Oscar Lovelace of Lovelace Family Medicine, PA served as the medical lead for both clinics.

The SCRLA will continue seeking opportunities to offer vaccination clinics, particularly in partnerships with pharmacies and doctors who can offer vaccinations to our hospitality employees.
