SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SENIOR PGA PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GOOSE CREEK GOLF CLUB JULY 25-26, 2022

CHAMPIONSHIP INFO & FORMAT 36-HOLES OF STROKE PLAY Open to all Southern California PGA Class A members who are 50 years of age or older in good standing.

PRACTICE ROUND Practice rounds and rates are at the availability and discretion of Goose Creek Golf Club.

STARTING TIMES Starting times will begin at 7:30AM off the 1st tee and 10th tee for both rounds. Subject to change.

PURSE The anticipated purse is expected to exceed $20,000!

TEES For the Senior Section Championship, all men will play from the Championship tee decks with yardage tentatively around 6,500 - 6,800. All women will play at approximately 80-85% of this total yardages.

2021 CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP JEFF HART, PGA, NOTCHES ANOTHER TITLE

LA QUINTA, CA - Jeff Hart, PGA, is the 2021 Southern California PGA Senior Section Champion at the PGA WEST Stadium Course with an eight-under par, 136 total.

Hart’s final round of six-under par, 66 at PGA WEST catapulted him into the winners circle for the second time, having won this championship in 2019. Finishing three shots clear of the field, Hart got off to a sizzling start in the final round with back-to-back birdies on holes one and two. Hart said, “I got off to a great start, and by birding the first two holes, I was able to play the day the way I wanted to play.” Continuing his steady play throughout the final round, Hart added to his lead by posting an additional two birdies down the stretch on holes 17 and 18 to secure his title.

Hart will lead 12 other PGA Professionals to the 33rd Senior PGA Professional Championship on October 21-24, 2021 at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL. In addition, five alternates will hope to get the call to be entered into the prestigious field.
