Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791)
Kyrie eleison. Christe eleison. Kyrie eleison.
Gloria in excelsis Deo, Et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis.
Laudamus te, benedicimus te, Adoramus te, glorificamus te.
Gratias agimus tibi propter magnam gloriam tuam.
Domine Deus, Rex coelestis, Deus Pater omnipotens.
Domine Fili unigenite, Jesu Christe.
Domine Deus, Agnus Dei, Filius Patris.
Qui tollis peccata mundi, Miserere nobis.
Qui tollis peccata mundi, Suscipe deprecationem nostram.
Qui sedes ad dexteram Patris, miserere nobis.
Quoniam tu solus sanctus, tu solus Dominus.
Tu solus altissimus, Jesu Christe.
Lord have mercy upon us. Christ have mercy upon us. Lord have mercy upon us.
Glory to God in the highest, And peace on earth to men of good will. We praise you, we bless you, We worship you, we glorify you. We give you thanks for your great glory.
Lord God, King of Heaven, God the Father Almighty. Lord only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father. You who take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. You who take away the sins of the world, hear our prayer. You who sit at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.
For you alone are holy, you alone are Lord. You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ. With the Holy Spirit in the glory of God the Father, Amen.
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God of God, light of light, true God from true God,
Amen.
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus, Dominus Deus Sabaoth. Pleni sunt coeli et terra gloria tua. Osanna in excelsis.
Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.
begotten, not made, of one being with the Father; through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven. He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit, of the Virgin Mary; and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, suffered death, and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the scriptures; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son; Who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, and who spoke through the prophets.
I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church;
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins;
I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory, Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.
Agnus Dei qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791), completed by Franz Xaver Süssmayr
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis. Te decet hymnus, Deus, in Sion, et tibi reddetur votum in Jerusalem.
Exaudi orationem meam, ad te omnis caro veniet.
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Kyrie eleison. Christe eleison. Kyrie eleison.
Grant them eternal rest, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine on them. Thou, O God, are praised in Sion, and unto Thee shall the vow be performed in Jerusalem.
Hear my prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come. Grant them eternal rest, 0 Lord, and may perpetual light shine on them.
Lord have mercy upon us. Christ have mercy upon us. Lord have mercy upon us.
Day of wrath, that day will dissolve time itself into dust as both David and the Sibyl bear witness. How great that terror that will be when the Judge shall come to sift out all things without exception
A mighty trumpet’s wondrous sound through the tombs of every land will summon all before the throne.
And death and nature shall be astonished When creation shall rise again in response to his judgement.
Liber scriptus proferetur in quo totum continetur, unde mundus judicetur.
Judex ergo cum sedebit quidquid latet apparebit, nil inultum remanebit.
Quid sum miser tunc dicturus?
Rex tremendae majestatis, Qui salvandos salvas gratis, Salve me, fons pietatis.
Recordare, Jesu pie, quod sum causa tuae viae, ne me perdas ilia die.
Quaerens me sedisti lassus, redemisti crucem passus, tamus labor non sit cassus.
Juste judex ultionis donum fac remissionis ante diem rationis. lngemisco tamquam reus, culpa rubet vultus meus, supplicanti parce, Deus.
The book of scripture will be brought forth in which is contained everything that is, out of which the world shall be judged.
When therefore the judge takes his seat whatever is hidden will reveal itself, and nothing will remain unavenged.
What then shall I say, wretch that I am? What advocate am I to call upon, when even the righteous are hardly secure?
King of tremendous majesty, Who freely saves the redeemed, Save me, fount of mercy.
Remember, merciful Jesus, that I am the cause of your pilgrimage, Do not forsake me on that day.
Seeking me you sat down weary, You redeemed me, suffering death on the cross.
Righteous judge of vengeance grant me the gift of forgiveness before the day of reckoning.
I groan like a guilty man, guilt reddens my face, spare the supplicant, O God.
You who absolved Mary and heard the thief, you also have given me hope.
My prayers are not worthy, but in your goodness have mercy, and rescue me from everlasting fire.
Provide me a place among your sheep, and separate me from the goats, guiding me to your right hand.
Confutatis maledictis flammis acribus addictis, voca me cum benedictis.
Oro supplex et acclinis, cor contritum quasi cinis, gere curam mei finis.
Lacrimosa dies ilia qua resurget ex favilla judicandus homo reus.
Huic ergo parce, Deus, pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem.
Domine Jesu Christe! Rex Gloriae!
When the accursed have been confounded and given over to the bitter flames, call me with the blessed.
I pray in supplication on my knees, my heart contrite as the dust, safeguard my fate.
Full of tears will be that day when again from the dust shall rise a guilty man to be judged.
Therefore, spare him, O God, merciful Lord Jesus, grant them rest.
Lord Jesus Christ! King of Glory! Deliver the souls of all the faithful departed from the pains of hell and from the bottomless pit.
Deliver them from the lion's mouth, let not hell swallow them up nor let them fall into darkness.
But let St. Michael, Thy standard-bearer, lead them back into the holy light that you have promised to Abraham and his seed.
We offer unto you, God, this sacrifice of prayer and praise. Receive it for those souls whose memory we keep today.
Grant them, O Lord, to pass from death into the life that you have promised to Abraham and his seed
Sanctus, sanctus, sanctus, Dominus Deus Sabaoth. Pleni sunt coeli et terra gloria tua. Osanna in excelsis.
Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona eis requiem.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona eis requiem sempiternam.
Lux aeterna luceat eis, Domine, cum sanctis in aeternum, quia pius es.
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Cum sanctis tuis in aeternum, quia pius es.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory, Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, grant them rest.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, grant them rest everlasting.
May eternal light shine on them, Lord, with your saints eternal, because you are merciful.
Grant them eternal rest, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine on them.
With your saints eternal, because you are merciful.

Atlanta Master Chorale proudly marks our 40th anniversary this season, continuing our legacy of crafting one of America's finest choral sounds and bringing singers and audiences to a place "where music touches spirit."
Over the past four decades, we have been known as the Gwinnett Festival Singers, Atlanta Sacred Chorale, and now Atlanta Master Chorale. While there have been many transformations through the years, our mission to sing at the highest level of choral artistry remains.
We have evolved into an auditioned metro-area choir with a repertoire of over 100 pieces from diverse genres and periods. Our choral music series of 23 pieces is published by MorningStar Music/ECS Publishing Group, and we have commissioned and premiered 8 new choral works and produced 18 recordings (available on CD and digitally). Our inaugural choral composition competition attracted over 400 applications and 250 submissions from across the globe. We continue to be recognized for our superior choral artistry, including invitations to perform live for national audiences of the American Choral Directors Association national convention and the Chorus America convention. And our digital audience continues to grow through our YouTube channel with 8,800 subscribers, 260 music videos, and 3.5 million views.
Our organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a board of directors experienced in finance, engineering, church music, development, business, law, and the performing arts. As a result of our professionalism, artistic excellence, and our strategic pivot during the pandemic, we are a national leader among choral organizations, sought after for workshops and advice.
Whether this is your first, fourth, or fortieth season, Atlanta Master Chorale welcomes you to this year-long celebration of our successful mission:
To inspire and enrich the lives of our community through the performance of inspirational choral music, to sing at the highest level of choral artistry and to be a standard of excellence among performing arts organizations.
Mark this important 40th anniversary with a gift in any amount. May we suggest amounts featuring the number 4: $4, $40, $400, or more? As always, Atlanta Master Chorale thanks you for your past, present, and future support.

Atlanta Master Chorale established the Eric Nelson Artistic Fund (ENAF) in 2020 to honor Eric Nelson’s incredible talents and twenty-year leadership as our artistic director. The ENAF underwrites chorale travel to special performances, commissioned choral works by new or established composers, our annual composition competition, and expenses for high-caliber guest artists who perform or record with the chorale.
ENAF donations may be made online (choose ENAF from the drop-down menu), by mail (indicate ENAF in the memo section of your check), or at the merchandise table in the lobby. AtlantaMasterChorale.org/donate Atlanta Master Chorale| P.O. Box 133201 | Atlanta, GA 30333
